          I once wrote an entire paper on how warp drives are impossible without fiddling with space and time because it would ruin some time/space paradox of being in two places at once (I could ramble about this for hours, do not get me started) bUT someone falling outside of a warp would literally tear them apart through space and time and if that isn’t fuckin jazzy as hell, IDK WHAT IS.

            A galaxy in which the star in the center is so massive and powerful that everything in the system is gradually being pulled towards it. Planets on the outer edge are Fine but every year are getting inches if not feet closer towards its inevitable consumption. Beings on these planets treat it like Global Warming in which there is irrefutable proof that one day, in millions (maybe less) years the planet will come crashing into their systems center while other deny it.             But they cannot deny that all of their physics are based on the simple fact that gravity will always favor one direction and that the planet(s) is slowly but surly shifting out of orbit towards an unknown source. Every year that small star in the distance seems to get brighter and every year gravity gets just the smallest bit stronger in that single direction. At some point this will be exponential, but not for thousands (millions?) of years.              The closer you get to the center of this galaxy, closer to the star, the more "grave yards" you find of abandoned ships and broken planets that have stopped their rotational pull and have joined their dead comrades in the path of least resistance towards the almighty death star.

Forms of Faster-Than-Light (FTL) Travel Space Discourse By Sy

Warp Drives: an object moves faster than...well, light. Warp Drives are physically moving through space and do not negate objects in front of them - aka you can still hit things. Currently the most plausible of FTL travel.

Jump Drives: Fancy word for teleportation. Objects within space do not hinder jump drives because the object is not physically moving from point A to point B like warp drives, the object is disappearing/reforming in another place in space/time. Of the forms of FTL, I believe this one is the most... magical of the options as the object is literally blinking out of existence. Some theories 

Hyper Drives: With the theory that there are alternate dimensions (which has been disproved!), hyper drives tear open reality into an adjacent dimension in which the object travels and then reopens in the location of its choosing. There are many theories on this one -- some state that time is not affected and this process is not instantaneous, but can be combined with Jump Drives in order to achieve this. The dangers of manipulating alternate universes in order to travel break both time and space, etc etc
