marking brat’s first ever sub-unit project, the group’s rappers duri & lauren team up on on the dl; proving themselves to be among the heaviest hitters of the idol rap scene. featuring three unit songs and two solos, the mini album showcase’s the girls individual talents alongside their undeniable chemistry; intro ‘bad bitch anthem’ shows the ladies riffing off of one another in it’s tongue-in-cheek lyrics, while ‘ill’ takes a more traditional hip-hop approach.
while duri and lauren will not be promoting on the dl, it is confirmed that a special music video is set to follow the release- although it’s still a mystery as to which track will be pushed as the title. while many fans have already weighed in with the praise of brat’s rap-line, some wonder if it’s not too early to begin establishing sub-units within the rookie group. what do you think? is there ever such a thing as too soon?
