April hit the call button on Skype and sighed, her feet propped up on the desk near her laptop. She kicked her Pikachu slippers back and forth while she waited for Brie to answer, and when she did AJ was giving her the biggest smile she could. “Hello there gorgeous!” She sang out, her arms stretching high in the air.
“Brianna,Brie,Brianna Monique..”April sang out on her end of the phone. “..are you still alive? C’mon, I promise I’ve only got a couple pairs of converse packed for the Summerslam visit.” She looked over at her suitcase and nodded. “Brieee..”
“What the fuck have you done this time!”
“Chill out!” April put her hands up in defense and bit on her lip in thought. “Josie got loose when I opened the door, she ran into a puddle of mud, booked it back inside, and rubbed herself all over the couch.” She pointed at the leather furniture. “I didn’t do anything..your dog is part cheetah.”
“Y’know, for California being a big state...” April poked Brie on the shoulder and chuckled. “...talk about funny,eh?”

The summer breeze ran through her hair while they sat on her back porch in Florida. The two had just spent the day catching up, but lately April’s sleeping schedule had gone to shit. She heard her best friend in the middle of a story and her eyes were starting to flutter shut..but she was trying to fight off as best as she could. AJ didn’t wanna be rude. However, it didn’t take her longer than ten minute to give into the sleepiness. Her head tilted to the side and she rested it on Brie’s shoulder with a tired sigh before she was out like a light.

April was busy walking up the tiny path in front of her house, eyes on her phone when she tripped..and arms caught her. Which surprised her tremendously. Her gaze shifted to her friend and her arms were quickly around her in a tight hug. “Hi! I’m grateful you saved my life from eating cement but hi!”
