Shadow's Light, Space
"come on!" Kicks is bent over the panel, trying to keep it situated, as Cast watches on, smirking. His subordinate attempted to wrestle away the tractor controls from him. It would never work, they both knew this, but Kicks almost always tried to do it anyway.
"i'm one with the ship, sidekick, you can't control it better than i can." Cast chirps brightly, his small tail flicking from side to side. Kicks responds by rolling his eyes and elbowing Cast in the gut.
This is enough to lessen Cast's control just a little, enough that Kicks can grab the manual controls and start honing in on their current subject of interest-- Well, really, it was Sci and Creature's subject of interest, but getting them on the ship was half the battle, wasn't it?
Lakeview, Pennsylvania, Earth
Beldane Bellefonte was that unfortunate subject of interest at the moment.
He'd only just ended up in Lakeview after a long period of nothingness in his memory. He barely knew who he was, let alone how he'd gotten here. And he was currently staring, mesmerized, at the beam of greenish light pouring over Stone's Throw Lake.
It was late in the evening, no one else (as far as he knew) was around. The sandy beach of the lake felt somehow familiar under his feet. He wears a hospital gown, and while Bell has very, very vague memories of waking up at a nearby hospital, he can't remember how or why he left.
For now, it all seems very distant and... Unimportant. Not nearly as important as that light that shone on the lake.
That light that was... Starting to approach him, in fact.
