Sitting at the edge of the water, the wolf gazed deeply into the lake as she contemplated what she was about to do. “Well it would make good practice for the future.” Lifting her hands up a magic circle would form over the surface of the water as she closed her eyes. Waving her hands water from the lake would rise up and move in sync with her hand motions.

The water of this lake was clean, almost clear that anyone could partially see the bottom ground, plants and several fishes swimming under the surface. While Saya was seemingly performing a spell with the water, Mare was witnessing at the other side of the lake, her head slightly peeking from a rock she was swimming from behind.

Looking in awe that this one was using water magic, similar to herself. She was now wondering the other was a witch as well.

“Don’t sleep ever? No, I can’t do that.” Said the water witch who usually slept at least half of the day. “Besides I’m doing quite well from how I see it.”

“Don’t be silly, I hardly attacked her. If anything I just reminded her how the world works, and offered her a simple solution. Being mine, and being safe. You should consider it.”

Jeanne’s eyes fixed themselves on the staff, smiling all the same before slowly walking towards her.

“We witches should stick together. After all, there’s so many who want to harm us.”

For each step Jeanne took, she backed away, gripping her staff more firmly. Her aura was intense, unlike Mare ever felt before.

Being mine. These very words made her anxious quite immediately. 

“What did you do to her?”

While Mare doesn’t have much social interactions with others, she is always becoming fascinated meeting mermaids, mermen or basically anyone who could live in the ocean. There is something about them that makes the water witch is excited to meet them someday.
