2011 -> 2020

I was trying to find a diff artwork when I came across this! And have some thoughts

I‘m often hard on myself because I feel like I didn’t grow much as an artist? Comparing my improvement to others, it’s very slow. But I should always keep in mind that I can only compare my growth to myself ;

Seeing this gave me a small sense of relief (and satisfaction) that I’m not the same artist I was 9yrs ago— and I vividly remember being proud of the ‘11 piece! I had it printed for a class once lo

It’s quite hard to be proud of your accomplishments when so many people around you achieve it in much lesser time, but it’s always good to remind yourself of the journey and improvement you’ve personally done ;u; 💞
