1. My muse finds your muse bleeding out from a stab wound inflicted by an intruder.
The door to said boy’s dormitory room swung open without so much as a knock or ‘good day’. Not that the boy deserved one anyway.
The moment Sungyeol stepped into the room, he knew something was wrong. At this time, Byungjoo would usually be sitting at his desk burning his eyes out studying for tests or something like that, but it was eerily quiet. He should have known Sungyeol was coming anyway.
As a last resort, he kicked open the door to the bathroom with a sharp click of his tongue.
He was assaulted by a strong smell of iron. The white tiled bathroom floor was replaced with a pool of crimson. In the middle of it all was Byungjoo, looking smaller than ever. What to feel? It definitely wasn’t the empty bathroom Sungyeol was expecting.
He knelt down beside the wounded student, hyperaware of the blood soaking into the knees of his jeans. Sungyeol patted Byungjoo’s cheek lightly. “Hey. Can you hear me? Blink your eyes or whatever if you can.”
Byungjoo’s eyes were unfocused and glazed over, staring at a point somewhere to Sungyeol’s side. He made what should have been a gurgling sound, but it came out as frothy, bloody bubbles from the deep gash to his jugular. Whoever or whatever did this was certainly brutal. If no one had come to check up on Byungjoo, he would have died a slow and torturous death, literally drowning in his own blood.
A genuine smile tugged at the corners of Sungyeol’s lips. Macabre as it was, it was a while since Sungyeol had ever felt so pleased.
He grabbed Byungjoo’s chin, forcing the younger to meet his gaze. “You’d think with your cute face you would have lasted longer than this. Should have known you were a shitty investment from the start.”
It was hilarious, in a very morbid way. Sungyeol’s words were the last things Byungjoo would hear. The boy didn’t even deserve to die peacefully.
Sungyeol settled down onto the bloody bathroom floor and fished his phone out from the pocket. Byungjoo wouldn’t even last another ten minutes. It would entertaining, surely, if the medics found Sungyeol crying, supposedly grieving over the tragic loss of a dear friend.
