"Don't chase the rabbit"
Send me "Don't chase the rabbit" and your muse willbe shown a random memory from my muse's past.
You got a fast car, I want a ticket to anywhere. Maybe we make a deal. Maybe together we can get somewhere. Any place is better. Starting from zero got nothing to lose. Maybe we'll make something. Me myself I got nothing to prove. — FAST CAR
Stifling back a tired yawn, Gikwang let out a lowly sigh underneath his breath. It was another late nighter for the twenty-four year old daeri unjeon. He had just finished his last drop off in the Gangnam-gu district part of Seoul. He knew he had to take on some clients and shifts in order to keep up with his non-official cover for the National Intelligence Service, but he didn’t expect it to be so… tiring. Glancing at the digital clock on the dashboard he made note of the time.
4:04 AM
❝ How ironic, ❞ he snorted. The inner computer nerd in him found it to be hilarious.
Gikwang looked at the clock, expecting to see what ungodly hour it was, only to not find what he was looking for-- an error message. While it may be metaphorically speaking, he couldn’t help but find it to be befitting. Perhaps it was the universe's strange and unconventional way of telling him to contemplate his life.
Turning on the radio, he connected the auxiliary cable to his black iPhone. Too preoccupied focusing his attention on the road, he pressed play to his music playlist without even looking just so he wouldn't have to drive across the river in silence. Suddenly, the tune of ‘Fast Car’ played over the speakers of his white Audi A7 TDI -- a cover by Boyce Avenue. ❝ Life is just full of ironies tonight, ❞ he laughed.
A lot has happened to him over the course of a year. There were things that happened that he never expected; things that happened that he wished didn't happen. On the other hand, there were things that happened he was glad that happened.
Regardless of what could have or should have happened, he wonders what else the future could possibly hold in store for him. Perhaps, more than he could ever hope for.
