These were taken from the video The VFX of Horror: Achieving Eerie Aesthetics in Film, TV and Games ! Check out the full behind the scenes with the link! It goes highly in-depth the process behind making the video!
Well, we finally have a good look at Thresh’s look in Night at the Inn cinematic, and man does he look gorgeous. To think he could have had shorter hair is whoa- Still, a full body reference and behind the scenes of it all!! I wish I would have known this existed a year ago!
I also got the carriage reference but its incredibly blurry cuz of how small the portrait is on the slideshow so it’ll have to do~
Christie's old ref! I plan to update the art and costume a bit later but this still holds up!
// currently obsessing over the idea that noxus prime is just built ON TOP of mordekaiser's immortal bastion, based on the old art for the 'city of noxus' ....
//SO I REALIZED THAT BC OF MY DEGREE THAT I HAVE A VERY GOOD IDEA VISUALLY OF WHAT I MEAN WHEN I DESCRIBE NIKKI AND THE SHIFTERS’ TEETH BUT LIKE NOT EVERYONE DOES BUT I FORGET THAT I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR IT LMAOOO
So here’s a lil diagram for y’all. This is specifically of a canid/canine jaw. Most omnivorous mammalian skulls have pretty similar teeth structurally. They vary by number and size and placement a little because of skull size and shape not being the same BUT I DIGRESS I’M RAMBLING BECAUSE I LOVE MY FIELD OF STUDY. For the purpose of rp and just...uniformity across the board (because all shapeshifters are omnivorous and very human passing so the skull shape/size are as uniform as they can be among a species, thus all their teeth will look the same), all shapeshifters’ teeth look roughly like the 4 teeth in the red boxes.
The elongated canines to grab, and then the three teeth behind it interlock to basically act like saws to tear flesh. Behind those would be very normal, human looking molars for chewing and crushing other types of food. The front teeth between the canines are also very normal and human looking.
That feel when you’ve held animal skulls in your hands bc you had to study them/identify the species by look alone and name all the bones but it sounds VERY WEIRD OUT OF CONTEXT
I’M FINALLY DONE!!!! HOLY SHIT!!
Anyway, after friggin weeks of my programs dying while working on this, here’s a drawing I did to reference Hollow’s injuries and wings when they’re ‘healed’. The darker part of their abdomen is where they stabbed themself over and over and that is the most fragile of their shell since it’s not as hard as the rest of them. Needless to say, when their wings are in ‘cloak’ mode all that damage is much harder to see since it’s covered up.
Take this old magical man--
His info is already up on the verse page!
