Ash didn't really enjoy the fact that he knew his way around the compound. Could even point you to his old home if you asked. He had first connected with the people he knew that were here with him, before Dawn had started getting a bit antsy, she more so than him is reminded of this place where she grew up. They quietly found their way to familiar haunts, quiet corners, wherever seemed familiar in the comforting way rather than the unsettling way.
Of course, it was unlikely that they'd stay clear of familiar people too, in the unsettling way. He had been walking Dawn around in circles to tire her out, which wouldn't take too long considering her age now, but at one point her ears perked up as she stopped in her tracks and sat down, as if the obediently trained EAA dog was back in her veins, being back in this place probably does that to her. Ashton looked up to the presence that found them, "sir," he couldn't help the formal acknowledgement, even if he was no longer a specialist, no longer EAA, it was ingrained to his bones, not something easily taken out of him in the way it was beaten into him. "Sorry we were-.. she just needed to get her walk in, and then we'll go back with the rest of those sheltered." Ash explained, he couldn't find it in him to move without ordered permission.
