Baz and the BuzzSaws

This is something I’ve thought about for a while, but I wanted to write it down in a more succinct place:

Baz cares about his bandits.

He has done what he could to make accommodations to make his camp as Home for them as it can be. For Teegz, he helped them get art supplies and gave them places to draw and practice. For Scrizz, he had a panic room built so that he wouldn’t be a danger to himself or others when he got overexcited and went into an episode. He raided old facilities to find proper equipment for Zevus to be able to work with technology as close to what he was used to on Elpis as they could find.

He does this because when he was a kid and ran away, he was welcomed by other bandits when he had nowhere to go where he fit in. Those bandits took him in without questioning where he was from or who he was, and made him feel at home and welcome while also pushing him to develop his own skills.

Baz grew up being welcomed by bandits, and he’s determined to make his BuzzSaws feel the same way.

PokeGo Headcanons: BuzzSaws

I’m just going to throw out a bunch of headcanons here in a big ole brain dump

there’s a pokestop at the big sign for the entrance to Camp BuzzSaw (which Baz notices in the description is now listed as ‘abandoned’)

there’s a gym out in the Dust, at a spot where one of the local band of skags is most often found

said pack of skags is the same pack that Teegz long ago made friends with

Teegz is the only one who consistently holds that gym, since no one else wants to get close enough to the skags to claim it

basically Teegz is a pro at this game and everyone else gathers around them asking them to teach the rest of them (they are really good at tracking)

Zevus hacks the servers and ensures adequate spawning in their area for everyone to be able to catch lots of pokemon without having to go too far

the usual raids by the whole troupe are now coupled with detours and extra stops for catching pokemon

any small group missions now include an extra person, whose soul job is to catch pokemon for everyone else

Zevus had to do some infrastructure upgrades on the camp’s power systems to account for how often everyone was now using and charging their phones/devices

Baz awoke to his echo device flashing with a message. He had it color-coded by recipient, so he knew right away it wasn’t Issac. In fact, it was- the bandits? After everything had happened, they hadn’t talked to him much in months. But that was definitely the Buzzsaws’ collectively used device. When he opened it and read it, within moments he was bolting to collect his belongings and break down his little makeshift lean-to camp.

[Echo: Boss

Boss, it’s Pedro. And uh- you’re probably gonna like what we have to see here. We’ve had a lot of time to think and man, we- got really bored? We’ve been watching ya, and well- we think you’ve really shaped up. Bigger thing is- we’re really fucking bored. It just ain’t the same without all the raids and shit we used to do. So wherever you are, come meet us back at the old camp, and we’ll see if things can get back to how they used to be.]

A collective “OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH” is heard from the circle of bandits gathered around the echo. That sound was accidentally broadcast.

Ty and Sam can’t believe what they’re witnessing.

The buzzsaws are gathered around the echo device in a circle. Some have popcorn. Some have skag jerky. Scrizz is just... chewing on a burlap sack.

They’re just watching this go down, soaking it in.

Ty and Sam are here also. Some of the other bandits try to clap hands over their ears for certain parts, but they swat the hands away.

Teegz is sitting on Pedro’s shoulders.

A Note About Echo Devices

After the separation of Baz and the main group of BuzzSaws, there is no longer one shared Echo device.

Baz has his own device, which has preset encoded private channels back to the main group’s Echo

Teegz has their own, and primarily uses text, as they are non-verbal

Zevus has his own, after a few mixups of some explicit pictures being sent to the wrong contacts by those sharing his device.

There is one shared echo device among the rest of the troupe, which tends to be passed around depending on who wants to use it.
