in the flesh just got cancelled and i'm just so... emotional,,, about this. this show means so much to me. the queer representation, themes of mental illness and well rounded female characters just made it such a good and important show.. i can't believe this. it won a bafta for fucks sake, why would bbc think cancelling it would help them save money??? i'm pissed. i'm just so fucking pissed off that a show with this much representation won't have a third season but somehow bullshit misogynistic shows like supernatural get 10th seasons. ugh this makes me so sad i'm gonna go take a nap i can't deal w/ this

Okay so in celebration of the live tweeting and posts for in the flesh today, I'd like to say a couple of things to explain why it IS a very important show. I started to watch it because it looked intriguing and man was I in for a hell of a suprise. I mean this show just blew my mind. The stuff that was packed into about racism, controversy nt to mention some of the most well written characters (and character portrayal) that i have seen on television. The emotions are so raw and the acting that delievers them is so wonderful. I won't lie- romance really gets my attention (and I'm not ashamed of that) but this show focuses so much more on the trials and actions of other characters including the main ones. If you're just watching just to see the main characters I mean you're mising out. The character development and the sheer enorimity of the controversy presented in this show continues to peak my interest and astound me at the same time. This show is very important for the progress of television and so much more then just "entertainment." There needs to be a third series, there needs to be more.
