I have only seen mean girls once and I could barely make it through it because thanks to my anxiety I couldn’t handle how mean the girls were. (I know) 😂

I like the movie and I love the musical. But it made my stomach physically hurt seeing the girls attacking each other. I still laughed and I can quote it perfectly tho, but that thanks to pop culture and the musical.

Okay this is always super hard for me to choose so imma say all of them in no particular order; coconut, lilac, vanilla, leather, the smell of the lake/water, sunscreen, burnt out candle, roses, new money(I work at a bank), old books, my blanket, my moms perfume/lotion annnnd I think that’s it😁😁

6. Which scenes did you cut, and which were added in Giving You My Soul?

I actually had/have a whole story on how Luke was changed! I wanted to add it in but it would have been much longer and I didn’t know if it would be unnecessary or not. Another cut was Brone...but I didn’t really have much of an idea on what to add of him in the first part. Scenes weren’t really added but those were the ones I cut!

9. Which idea came to you first in The Click?

I was reading one of my Lang Leav poetry books, Memories, and two poems sparked my ideas. The first poem of the book is titled The Rose (which gave me the name of my OC!) that caught my eye first, it talks about falling in love with someone slowly and with all their little things, a longing ‘for her, on nights that go on and on; for now, her face is all a blur, like a memory kept too long.’ So that sparked the soulmate concept of loving someone yet not seeing their face. Then a few pages later the second poem is really what got the ball rolling. It’s called The Stranger and I’ll just add in quotes what I underlined in my book from the poem:

‘To think he saw you’ (when Calum sees her the first time)

‘a spilled drink, a stumble through the door’ (when her drink spills and the stumble is when they bumped into each other)

‘but you turned away, out of shyness or indecision and by the time you turned back, he was gone.’

‘how do you explain it without sounding unsound? That click you felt when your eyes met his, like the switch of a train track’ (when they finally met they both felt that click which is also the title of the fic)

‘what you felt was real--and you must always listen to that click. For it is the sound of your fate beckoning. It is the voice of your destiny calling. Sometimes it only calls once.’

So, in short (lol) Rose’s name, soulmates, and poetry are the ideas that came first to me for this specific piece. I loved writing their love with poetry and from poets I love who are also in love with each other.

7. Who was your favorite character to write in Running Back to you and I Will Wait for You?

Honestly I loved writing both Luke and Michael! It was so fun to write the persona of them in the 40′s, I searched common phrases that were said around that time and I love learning of the history of WWII. It’s horrific but there are so many stories and not one of them are alike so this was also kind of a dream of mine to write a history piece based on that time. I’d love to do more of it when an idea strikes again.
