He’s an idiot.

Pretty much everyone he’d known up to coming to Amberspire is dead/silenced. He made one final reach out to his first love (this literally happened: I found the dA of the person who owned his first mate and saw she was leaving FR for good so I offered to buy her - and she said she would be happy to sell except she was a progennnn fuck.) An emissary was sent in her place, who just couldn’t connect with Haze at all and ultimately is nothing more than a reminder to him. Shortly after, his first mate was exalted.

Heeee’s pretty morose about that, unsurprisingly - and that does continue in spite of the fact he’s interested in other women.

Adara caught his eye from the beginning and he wanted to woo her but was too nervous to even talk, sooo he figured he’d start training in the coli since she values strength so much and surely that would work.

For some reason he never considered that it would be weird to just expect things to work out if they’d never even SPOKEN before, but obviously he was rejected. If he had spoken to her before he’d also have known she’s a fucking lesbian too haaah
