Maybe Xander was being a jerk. Just a little bit as he ignored Micah's cries while brushing his teeth.

Walking out, Xander just shrugged before climbing into Micah's lap on the bed, brushing his hands through his hair while he looked down at his friend he'd brought on vacation with him.

"You don't go back until tomorrow so there's still plenty of time to get back." Xander replied, moving to get comfortable in their lap.

He wasn't ready to leave yet anyway and take this nice little vacation and put it to rest.

"Come on, just say we can stay a little longer," Xander pouted at Micah, leaning down to brush his nose against the others. "I know you want to."

“Okay, but listen,” Xander said, filling the other’s glass back up to the brim with the whiskey and setting the bottle off to the side. The bar was a little lazy that evening, the night flood not having come in yet. 

Xan had been talking to them for a while now, couple weeks at least from what he can remember. Maybe longer. So he was comfortable enough. “I have the entire weekend off. I get paid today. Why don’t  we just take that road trip we were talking about? Let me take you to the beach like I promised.”
