She’d been giving herself a pep talk in Damsel’s bathroom mirror when something else showed up in her reflection’s place. The shock on her face almost mirrored the other’s, at least... until the reflection snarled at her with sharp teeth and demonic eyes. In an instant, Kodi squeezes her eyes shut and begins mentally battling the overwhelming sense of DREAD that threatens her. I’m not going to die. I’m not going to die. She can feel hands around her throat momentarily and she screams out loud:
“YOU CAN’T FUCKIN’ KILL ME, I’M A BAD BITCH!”
For a moment, everything’s quiet. No looming voice, no sense of dread. The bathroom is empty of an ominous presence once more and Kodi peeks open an eye to stare at the mirror. Nothing but her own reflection stares back.
“...”
Whatever the hell that was needs to stay far, far away from her. If it comes up again, she won’t hesitate to tell Damsel that the timeline’s code is off kilter... or. Something to that effect. Maybe. If she can’t fight it off herself, at least.
Leaving the bathroom, Kodi’s spine tingles and she feels like she might not be able to sleep well again tonight. Ah, well. So much for her good sleep schedule she had planned.
