E-...Empty?

It’s been two whole hours since Yancy left to go to his therapy session with Dr. Parker, the on site Psychiatrist. An appointment booked by the Warden. 

An appointment that has given him many reasons to believe that those sending him love, affection, making promises to visit may very well be just.... all... in.. his.. head. 

And what does he return to? So eager to get right back to his phone, right back to those so called new friends. So EAGER to get back and PROVE that he isn’t just imagining that these 250 people have somehow found him and want to visit him. So eager to prove that they’re real. 

But what he returns to is something that shakes him to his very core. 

Empty?

At no point, ever in the creation of this happy little blog of his had it EVER been completely empty. Especially not after being gone for several hours!  And what a time for it to be that way too.... 

Had they really been just.... machinations of his internal loneliness?  Imaginative friends to make him feel connected to the outside that he’d been craving? 

Had it really all be... fake?  Where were they now? Would they send in new asks? And if they did, were THOSE real? 

His mind was so conflicted now that he couldn’t tell the difference any more and with Visitation coming up, he could only hold tightly onto the little piece of technology granting him some semblance of freedom, hold onto it and hope and pray and yearn that this wasn’t just all in his head and that those visitors really would be visiting after all...

Hey Yancy! Sorry for the holdup, but I just got out of class. How did your appointment go? What sort of psychologist is Dr. Parker?

It went okay... uh.. Dr Pahrkah is a nice guy... Real nice guy. Ah- I’m not sure actually but he’s got a lot o certifications ya know? Been in the field a long time and if I recall rights then hes gots, medical, surgical, psychiatric, pediatric uh.. dentistry??? I t’inks? He looked at Bambam’s teeth once.

You literally just did a MASSIVE paragraph about your 2.5 hours of therapy and how you were doubting us being at visitation,saying that there was a possibility that we weren't even real. You sent us a picture of your empty inbox!
