Send “Who are YOU?” to meet a Muse from one of Muns other blogs!
{but make it a two for one special, because I couldn’t decide lmao—}
The blonde man stands silent, hazel eyes blinking a moment before pulling a pen and pad of paper from within his coat, and swiftly scrawling out a message. [ The Knave of Hearts, though usually his Majesty simply calls me Jack. ]
Jack, aka: The Knave of Hearts; from the manga “Are You Alice?”~! (written by; Ikumi Katagiri, with art by; Ai Ninomiya)
A young man who was whisked away to Wonderland (yes, the one from Lewis Carroll’s story— or at least what was once that land) after tossing aside his life and name in wake of a heartbreak… Jack now works as essentially a bodyguard/knight for the Queen of Hearts; who happens to be a man that holds little joy in the fact that another man was the first person to be working under him— as he was hoping for a staff filled with lovely women lol— as such, Jack finds himself under order to essentially not speak. (He can in fact speak a small amount— but currently, I can’t recall the exact amount of words he’s allowed; nor if the span is per year or per every ten years lol)
For a little added yapping though~, Jack is among the first few muses I had here on tumblr~! After moving him over from my days of writing elsewhere— and I do rather enjoy writing him, because it can an interesting challenge to keep in mind a muse who has limitations when it comes to communicating.
Also! AYA is absolutely among the list of things I’d recommend to read~, even if it is a bit long (at 12 volumes) it’s still very interesting to me from psychology angle it approaches certain things— and for the fact that, when first reading— the fact that jumps around across it’s own timeline/across different perspectives, really does feel fitting with the confusing nature of Wonderland. (Though, that does also mean a second read might be in order to better understand everything lol)
“We are… The fairytales given breath!”
Cinderella; from the manga Dictatorial Grimoire~. (story and art by; Ayumi Kanou)
Another one of the first few muses I moved here to tumblr~! Cinderella comes from a series focused around a twist on fairytales from The Brothers Grimm; the main twist here being that those stories were once real— having been collected by two men well versed in many things, including magic… The focus of those stories having now become demons, who were bound to the brother’s grimoire of stories, so the men could claim these stories as their own without interference. (And also, perhaps, to have those demons serve them—)
I fully admit that the previous story run down might be a bit messy lol, or not totally correct— but in my defense, I need to refresh myself on the manga lmao. But anyway— I find Cindy a fun muse to write thanks to a few of his quirks, such as a desire/habit for keeping spaces clean and tidy, and also for the streak of masochism he’s been shown to have lol.
I’d also put DG on my list of reading recommendations~, as while it’s quite short (with only 3 volumes), and I’ll admit the ending feels a touch rushed— (like they really could’ve a 4th volume to flesh things out a bit better) it’s still a nice little story with it’s share of action and comedy~. And I think the twists they add to each Fairytale character who makes an appearance, gives it a nice point of interest~.
