Jack had cringed when he had started up his car this morning and it had started making a weird sound. It was probably nothing, or rather he was hoping it was nothing, but he figured it would be a good idea to get it checked out. Pulling up to the garage, Jack hopped out of the car, and was glad to spot someone he knew wouldn’t screw him over “Ellie! I am glad to see you” He said, flipping his keys over in his hand “Car troubles. It’s making like, a rattling noise? Thought I’d bring it by, just to check it out”

The ball certainly seemed to be getting spirited as the evening wore on. Alexander had danced with a few eligible ladies as their mamas schemed and smirked behind their fans on the edge of the dancefloor, and it did amuse him to see their faces drop when he left them after one dance with nothing more than a courteous bow. He could see one of them plotting with her mother now and expected them to soon approach him with a thinly-veiled attempt to get him alone. Fortunately Eloise had entered the room, so perhaps he would soon be able to scare off the overly-ambitious mother and daughter duo. “My dear Lady Kingsley,” He remarked as he strolled over to her. “Is your dance card full for the evening, or are you able to spare a waltz for me?”

Adrian was 200% not sure why taxidermy girl was at his housewarming party. It took him a minute to recognize her through the haze of a few too many drinks, but once he realized who it was, he was more confused than anything. He grabbed one of the pigs in a blanket and mowed it down, letting the food soak up some of his drunkenness before he headed over in her direction. “Have you decided to come take pictures of living things?” he asked rather abruptly. @elosie-echos
