Top 5 “I can fix them” believers

5. Minglian

Maybe it might be a surprise that she’s not higher on this list! Minglian likes to believe in the goodness of people instead of the bad and she’s more prone to thinking the best of them that she can if the cause for it arises. But. Minglian (perhaps to her teacher’s great relief) has a boundary for fuckery and a boundary for realizing that maybe she just unfortunately can’t do anything for this person. Be it that the circumstances weren’t right, they aren’t receptive or wanting to change, or that in some way she herself is not the one best suited for helping them. So basically, she wants to help the person but she’ll only let it go so far. 

4. Matthias

A sweet boy. A good boy. Wants to see the best in everyone he comes across and a pacifist to the extreme. He’s very empathetic and it’s that empathy for others that would make him feel like he just has to try and help them become a better person. A smidge of broken bird syndrome and the only thing that would ever really make him give up on someone is if they seriously and maliciously hurt his family. 

3. Eira

Okay, take what I said about Minglian and remove the boundaries. Eira genuinely wants to help people and kind of ends up with the mindset that anything can be accomplished through sheer force of will she wants to be able to fix them that badly. This kind of mindset definitely comes from being the baby of the family that everyone loved and doted on, so I guess it is naivete. 

2. Kasemchai

Maybe you’ll notice a theme here but the same problems as Eira. He’s way more naïve though, having lived his entire life very sheltered and loved. So really, to distinguish from Eira, Cha is less like ‘I can brute force them being good’ and more ‘well why wouldn’t they want to be a better person? I’ll help them out along the way!’ He simply cannot understand why someone wouldn’t want to improve or do good things, vindictiveness is not a term in his vocabulary.

1. Amara

Now, Kris, I hear you asking me, why is Amara number one? He’s not sheltered like most of the others on this list, or on the younger side like some of the others either? Why would he then somehow be the worst “I can fix them” offender? Because, dear mutual, random stranger who somehow came across this post through Tumblr’s annoying search system, or Tumblr stalker, Amara does know that some people just don’t want to do better and he still won’t give up anyways. Reckless and self-sacrificing to a fault, his kindness has been his literal downfall on more than one occasion. He knows it may seem stupid and he knows he’s likely ended up with a knife in the back on more than one occasion because of his bleeding heart, but he simply hates the thought of giving up on someone. He wants them to be able to live a healthier and happier life. He acknowledges plenty will scoff at him for that, but it’s just how he’s always been wired.

Worst injury

“I’ve been really lucky so far. Despite my job,” Eira sighed, “I have yet to suffer any serious or deadly injuries. Cuts, bruises, and scrapes, yes, but nothing close to fatal or even traumatizing. I suppose though that I can attribute that to still being so new and being a medic. That and,” a bashful yet smug grin took place on her lips, “my siblings and Katarina tell me that I am rather fast, and good at dodging to boot. So I imagine that that helps too in keeping me from being seriously injured.

“And so I don’t have much in the way of an answer. A gash on my shoulder blade back when I went on a training mission will have to suffice as one, when one of the beings we were hunting managed to, embarrassingly, sneak up behind me.”

Most dangerous thing

“Other than my job with the Bastion and every mission that I take?” She laughed heartily. “Maybe to someone’s surprise, I’m not that much of a risk-taker otherwise! The most dangerous things I do in my spare time would be things like snowboarding and skiing, which isn’t as exciting an answer.”

Muse accents part 3

Ava was born and raised in Vienna, Austria and so she has a Germanic accent, one that varies a little in pronunciation compared to standard German when speaking English. Another thing of note is that she natural speaks Viennese German but can switch to the more “standard” High German if she encounters another German speaker who otherwise wouldn’t understand the dialect.

Eira, much like her cousins, only speaks English with the slightest of her Swedish accent coming through, one that’s audible in some of the sounds and vowels of her words. She speaks French and German as well, in which her accent does come through then. Likewise, she has also been picking up a bit of Italian lately too.

Though he was found in Wales, Aur’s accent is, oddly enough, a lilting Scottish. Specifically the East Central North dialect. Aur’s already searched that area in terms of clues to his past but has yet to find anything and even then, his way of speaking is still oddly ever so slightly off from even those speakers.

Having hailed from a Korea before it was even known as such, Soon-hee’s accent may sound a bit off to even native speakers but to others it will still sound very strongly and heavily Korean.

No one is sure what exactly Arya’s accent is, which is unsurprising considering he was a demon born not on any part of the Earth. It’s an accent though in every language that he speaks.

Matthias’ accent is impossible to place even by linguists, the only thing that can be agreed upon being that it is oddly a very ancient-sounding one in terms of pronunciation. Of course they have no way of knowing that it’s due to his Traundrath origins and bloodline though ironically he himself has few memories of his own of his former home as he was very young when he left it.

Zhaohui, like the other dragons, speaks with a heavy Chinese accent and in the standard Mandarin dialect. Like the other ancients, his way of pronouncing certain words and tones will also come across as a little odd to modern speakers.

Minglian is both an oddity and not in that she speaks like the ones she spends much of her time around, as in she speaks and pronounces things in a more ancient way despite having not lived in that time period. As it is, currently she as well speaks English with a heavy Chinese accent, Mandarin dialect, and is currently studying English.

My muse in a relationship

💔Do they have a certain type of person they will not enter into a relationship with?

“Mean people” is probably a given, huh. I won’t say that it’s like Eira isn’t “picky” per se, but she’s someone who can get along with people easily, even those who have completely different personality types to her (considering how her own dad is so quiet and calm as opposed to her). There’s not much else aside from obvious outright negative personality traits that would keep her from getting together with someone. 

💝How long until they feel secure and comfortable in a relationship?

She’s highly likely already completely comfortable right off the bat. Before dating a person a sense of trust and friendship would likely already have been established by her because she’s not one to enter into a relationship quickly or lightly. Of course there would be the process of easing into going from a platonic relationship to a romantic one, doubly so considering she hasn’t been in one before, but other than that she’s good.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Do they want children?

Yep! She loves her family and the notion of family and so would love to start one of her own one day.

💔Do they have a certain type of person they will not enter into a relationship with?

Probably overly-cocky people. She has a more timid personality and a low opinion of herself and so even if it’s not done intentionally, someone brimming with confidence would fill her with even more insecurities towards herself and in terms of a relationship insecurities towards their own opinions towards her as is discussed a little more down below.

💝How long until they feel secure and comfortable in a relationship?

A while, she’s spent her childhood being put down by her siblings and so she’s taken a toll in terms of things like confidence. She has trouble with forming relationships to begin with so a romantic one? She’ll be second-guessing herself and if her SO secretly wants to actually leave her the entire time.

As of now? She considers Amelie of something like a daughter but if asked she’d say that no, she doesn’t feel that she would make a good parent. Despite having helped raise Amelie for years, come on, Ava

Eira and her siblings, Asta and Valentin, have their own personal group chat with their parents. Like his children, Claes is also a hunter and occasionally travels around, a group chat being a convenient way to keep up with his family. Ingrid is the odd duck out in that she is the only member in the entire Lindgren clan to not be a hunter, having married into it. As it is, she does not travel as the others do and stays in Sweden but of course she wants to keep in touch with her kids when they’re not visiting home.
