Toudou had told her to go easy on testing out her new body. "you're gonna need time to adjust," he had said. " you aren't used to the systems, so take it slow. I'll stick around a little while just encase any bugs pop up." She hadn’t even been given light duty. Just some exercise, a walk around the training yard while everyone was still inside then right back into the maintenance bay.
“Be sure to come right back,” Regina had insisted. “We still have a lot of tests to go through, so don’t leave the property.”
Well, Crescent Sky decided, as she took off into an instant sprint against the tarmac at the centre. It was a race track for speed checks on maintenance day, just to make sure everyone was still clocking at their specs, just a general curiosity check for speed. I’m not exactly leaving the area, and I’m not pushing myself. The world blurred around her as she raced around the track a couple times, a wide grin stretching across her face as the wind continued to pick up around her face and body.
She skidded around a corner sharper than usual, and suddenly she couldn’t feel the pavement under her feet, and she was flying through the air with a loud yelp.
“SHIT!” She squealed frantically as the world rushed past her optics.

A flurry of acrobatic movements filtered through her mind and her frame twisted in the air before she landed on the ground unharmed.
Speed Boost: Sky Blades; Activated
Suddenly she was rolling, and her balance recalibrated, and her shoulders felt lighter as she finally stopped on the tarmac. Crescent Sky stood there for a second, her eyes wide and the silver simmers of her scarf landing on her face and dropping into her vision settled a stillness and silence in the yard. She slowly lifted the scarf back to behind her shoulder, and she stared wide-eyed at the building to process what just happened.

She dropped a couple feet, and she looked down slowly to her heels as the wheels sitting on her claves clicked right back into place. The wheels on her shoulders popped back into place.
Freya Protocol: Solitary Acrobatics; Deactivated
She stared a little longer, then turned slowly to stare at the building again.
Oh, she had so many questions now.
“Sooooo,” Crescent Sky eyed Toudou and Regina curious as she hooked back into her cradle. The pair glanced at her Systems, and Regina gave Crescent Sky a disapproving look while Toudou started to laugh. “Anyone gonna tell me what the Freya Protocol is?”
“You were supposed to take it easy,” Regina scolded crossing her arms.
“I did,” Crescent Sky huffed annoyed and pouting at her. “It’s not my fault.”
“You activated Sky Blades!”
“Not on purpose! I’ve been down for weeks, I needed to stretch my legs.” Toudou set his hand on Regina’s shoulder as his laughter finally calmed down.
“Let’s be grateful that she didn’t take her frame apart,” he chuckled. “She only took a jog around the track, it could have been far worse.” Regina sighed heavily in annoyance but nodded in agreement.
“Fine,” She relented. “The Freya Protocol is the name we picked out for the combiner you and Geir are going to make,” Regina explained as Crescent Sky blinked in awe at them.
“No way.” She breathed. “What about the solitary bit?”
“That part of the programs lets you get used to the idea of flying and being able to pull stunts you usually won’t be able too,” Toudou filled in. “It also gives you some advantages in a battle against someone your size.” He explained.
“Not to mention it’s a crucial part of your new battle programs,” Regina mentioned looking up from the console. “Shadowmaru, Kagerou and Power Joe combined some of their moves to give you a style and fight protocol of your own. Your strength has also been massive boosted, and your body can exceed any limits that you train at only.”
“And Moon?” Crescent Sky asked hopefully. “Are her codes still there?” The pair shared a grin.
“We’ll show you later.”

Anyway, I still need to run some things by @spearbot / @yuusha-tori about my idea for Geir and Crescent Sky, cause I had intended for them to be able to one, make Freya which is like Sky wearing Geir like a suit. And two, do something else so they could switch up their fighting styles and launch surprises against enemies when 'oh look a valkyrie-- waIT IT CHANGED WTF IS THAT' kind of thing
