The Tale of Two Cities According to Heiko and Stephi - Part 588
In a time that gets more and more technical and humanity takes more and more control over about everything, I love to see the wonders of nature even more.
The first photo shows a super moon in Cologne, taken by Heiko. I always like it when it's super moon, especially when the moon rises, like in Heiko's photo.
The second photo shows the solar eclipse of last Wednesday. It wasn't a total eclipse, only ~90%. But it was a magical moment.
I bought solar eclipse glasses two weeks before, and somehow 6 glasses cost more than 12 glasses. I bought 12 and gave the rest to some friends and my employees who worked on that day, so that they were able to enjoy the solar eclipse which started an hour after work. And all were so happy about the glasses because it seems everybody realized on the same day that there would be a solar eclipse, and almost everywhere in Munich they were sold out. Social media showed long queues at the few shops which still had some. Which is funny, because in these times we seem to be informed about everything all of the time, almost nobody knew that there would be a solar eclipse.
On my 16th birthday, there was a total eclipse, but on that day it was so cloudy that I couldn't see anything. And I was so sad. So I enjoyed this solar eclipse even more.
How is it with you? When was the last solar eclipse in the area you live? Were you able to enjoy it?
