She was not in the mood for this crap. Ever since the damn ‘Fall” and the events leading thereafter, the mood was drab and dreary on one side and tentatively jubilant on the other. She had done her job, risen a dead man, a very particular dead man who hadn’t even thanked her, just went on an extended honeymoon with his sniper and left her with a phone with a direct link to him.He was running the web from afar. Now she was working a damn double shift in the lab.
She was exhausted, the only thing fueling her right now was an over abundance of caffeine and rage. Not at anything in particular, just the situation. She hated having to play dumb and even worse...human. But now was not the time to be in a good mood, everyone was walking around like mindless zombies. Now, zombies she could have handled a bit better than this...nothingness.
Everyone was in greys and blacks and she couldn’t stand it. Grey days, black moods. She needed color.
Out of respect and to better blend in, she had even made her appearance more demure than usual, a designer yellow sleeveless dress with an a line skirt and buttons at the waist and turquoise four inch heels and a matching cardigan with her hair up in a simple high ponytail. Not like anyone she knew would actually see her, they were too busy mourning to notice these things. With Him gone, there were certainly less mysterious deaths around, go figure.
