"It won't take me long to find another lover, but I want you. I can't spend another minute getting over loving you."
"I came all the way here and you're gonna tell me you don't miss me-- at all?"
"So I uh--- I have a confession." The girl ruffles a hand through her messy locks nervously.
{ ;; I don't care if we're just friends, baby, ride out this storm with me }
It was late-- probably around one o'clock in the morning. Alessia had just spent the night with her friends, surrounded by a bonfire. They shared laughs, they shared drinks, most importantly-- they shared a good time. The night was just coming to a close when the clouds opened up. They had been expecting the rain but sought out the bonfire anyway. Once the group had plans, they always followed through with them. It seemed half of them had gone home already, it was just a handful of them left as the droplets began to fall. Alessia was always a fan of thunderstorms. Falling asleep to them was among her favorite things. Tonight, however, she was outside in it as it started.
The youthfuls took it upon themselves to run about in the storm. Clothes soaking in an instant as it began to pour not even five minutes after the drizzle had begun. Hands held together, they pranced through the female's backyard as if it was the most mistifying thing ever-- to just be outside in the rain. It wasn't long, though, that Alessia found herself shivering. The lose fabric of her t-shirt and flannel had easily soaken through and she knew without even feeling it that the skin underneath would be damp as well. It seemed the rest of the group had gotten the right idea and more and more, they were picked off. Another couple people going home.
It was now just Alessia, her two close friends who had been an item since grade school, and another close friend she had made since moving to the states. Grabbing a hold of their hand, she dragged them into her house. The power, of course, had gone out and they found themselves rolling on the floor in laughter in the girl's living room. "Is it possible to be high off of rain?" She asked the other, enjoying the sound of the water hitting her windows. There was no hum coming from her house, do to the lack of electricity, and it was the most peaceful thing she'd heard in ages. A loud boom of thunder sounded and she found herself clinging to the other's shirt, a small giggle emitting from her pink lips. "Sorry," She mumbled, not bothering to remove herself from the other.
"Do we have to go visit your relatives for the weekend? I don't mind your cousins and all that but I'm pretty sure your parents hate me and a weekend with them will-- well, just suck if I'm being honest."
