"I know.", was all Echo could muster up, idly fidgeting with the hem of their gown and looking down at the ground

"I just don't like that I'm dealing with the repcushions.", they noticeably have a little bit of a struggle saying 'repercussions'.

"I don't mind being made, I like living alongside everyone." They pause, almost hesitating to let what they were about to say next out into the world,

"I... don't like how I'm s'posed to be a weapon. I hate it."

“I belong in every place, everywhere. Just like you.” (ik this probably isn't a great one for a first interaction thread but i could definitely see shadow wanting to take echo under his wing given the nature of their creation so feel free to save it or if you want to go for it i'm happy to assume they've interacted a bit already! :] )

"Just like me?" Echo repeats, their eyes gleaming with wonder up at the midnight-colored hedgehog, then at the field towards them, the sky decorated with glistening dots as the night continues on. They're just like Shadow in a sense, so it would be obvious to believe in such, right?

"But what if people don't like me?" The child looks back up to him with furrowed brows and lowered ears, doubt clouding their briefly optimistic mind. It wouldn't be a surprise if they got rejected due to their origins. They're a danger, a mistake, even someone like Echo can recognize that much.

I can see interactions between Rio and Doc, Rio being also a techy nerd would absolutely geek out at whatever contraptions he's made! And also show off the cyborg rat robot with a brain, Ratto!

For both Doc and Ophelia definitely Critter, what with Critter being an abomination against nature interactions are for sure to happen between either of them and this little freak of nature :>

and you know what since she's another experiment muse, Amelia and Ophelia, I think both have common ground what with being experiments connecting to the supernatural. Besides, Amelia needs a friend. Plus, despite the horrors they've both went through, they remain whimsy!!

WEIRDLY SPECIFIC BUT HELPFUL CHARACTER BUILDING QUESTIONS

What’s something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?

Critter rarely, if ever, complains about food. Whatever is presented in front of them be it edible or inedible, they'll shove it into their mouth if they're hungry enough. However, there's one food they refuse to eat even if its on its dying breath.

Cucumbers.

One of the scientists carefully placed one behind it while it was eating food once and the cucumber suddenly appearing out of nowhere without it noticing scared the hell out of it and made it leap a good few miles away from where it was standing. They've since had a vendetta against the vegetable and whoever was responsible ever since. Cucumbers also taste bad, they're like pickles but no flavor.

They also hate the clicking of pens, it can't explain it but something about it drives them crazy and makes it want to its ears off out of frustration. Either that or kill whoever's doing it and destroy the pen afterwards.

If they’re scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?

Fear to Critter is... complicated, to say the least. Its a prideful creature that insists that it never gets scared, or shouldn't get scared, insisting that whatever 'fear' it feels is simply the "self preservation instincts." kicking in. Being literally made to kill does something to your confidence and psyche like that.

That is to say, that doesn't mean it hasn't felt fear before. Critter was frightful many times especially in YTI's research facility once the curiosity phase of its mentality passed. Of course, it wouldn't know who to go to for comfort as the scientists insist to not get attached to it, so it simply kept to itself and eventually replaced that fear with wrath, rarely ever going into flight and almost always going into fight mode. It never really got attached to anyone to get comfort from, so it genuinely has no idea what to do when its genuinely cornered and scared besides baring its fangs and get one last attempt at intimidation.

If one were to befriend Critter or, for some reason or another, Critter gets along with someone for long enough, it'll definitely follow them around like a loyal stray dog. And, thus, immediately go searching for them when these foreign feelings rise up to the surface. It refuses comfort from anyone else and will proceed to become defensive at a stranger attempting to soothe it. It may be a weapon of destruction, but it really is just some weird puppy?? kid?? that hasn't seen much of the outside world.

Emi winced at the comment, looking away from her father with her arms crossed. The one time her temper got the best of her and she ended up not only shocking the teen that was harassing her, but also unintentionally causing a whole power outage at the nearby arcade. Possibly malfunctioning a few of their machines in the process. Part of her was relieved that she was ‘in disguise’ during the whole thing, shame it didn’t help her avoid all of this.

“U-Um...” She paused, not knowing what else to say other than sorry even if that wasn’t going to fix things. The younger Nikaido played with her hair, a nervous tic she’s been meaning to try and shake off since it makes her hair fizz up sometimes, and mumbled “Sorry...”
