Plotted starter for @nolegacies | Billy
He should really give it to Billy for keeping the same brand for centuries. The colour scheme, the design, the whole theme, everything that comes together in a picture that simply screams ' i like ships ( and the ocean ) '. It's not that he will ever think him wrong for it, but rather tease him at any moment possible. Perhaps he enjoys keeping that death grip on his past, where Silver prefers to just take everything to new heights. Live in the present. Have a million breakdowns, then go back out and just feel the sun on his skin or the wind in his hair.
Immortality is a fucking joke. But it is also very freeing. Time is irrelevant, the only thing that can take him out is the inevitable end of the world they keep yapping about. But then, they have been yapping about this since he can remember. Come on then, smash a meteor into the fucking ground, I'll live, fucking watch me.
The absolute horror and fascination when it hit him that, shit... I cannot really die, can I? How he had then, just out of curiosity, cut into his skin just to watch the wound stitch itself back together like magic. Hell, for a moment he had even believed that he possessed some magic abilities. That the church had been right all along, that he indeed was a witch. But alas, perhaps it is just that. Rejuvenating abilities and the whole not-ageing thing.
It is what it is. At the very least he is not alone in this eternal life. It is both very calming and a little unnerving considering the bad terms that ended their journey. Billy fucking Bones. In the flesh. Owning a company located on a boat. Of anything he could have chosen, a goddamned boat. He is not surprised, shouldn't be fucking surprised, but it's just something about the whole style that makes his stomach drop. He just really hates the ocean.
The clerk, or receptionist, or handler, whatever she is, did seem nice. He hadn't quite caught her name, but it started on something Hens, something. Of course him just stumbling in unannounced would make anyone wonder, but Silver is nothing if not good with words. A bright smile, batting his eyelashes and giving her some well placed compliments, and of course mentioning that he was an old friend of Billy had done the trick. Always works. Perhaps that is his magic ability? Charming his way into whatever he wants. Such a shit ability.
He moves into the office, or he assumes it must be an office, and finds it much roomier than expected. Relics from ancient times, maps and whatnots are placed like trophies on display. So many memories and all of them he would have preferred to stay buried and forgotten. The door clicks shut behind him and he wanders further into the room... and stops. Surely that is not a piece of that bloody fucking ship? He walks a little closer to inspect, but stops when he sees movements to his left.
For a moment he believes he must have seen a ghost, for what comes next should have been impossible.
No, this cannot be him. Are animals also affected by immortality, he wonders. They are supposed to be innocent after all, so how? But Teeth sniffs him and sure enough the little guy climbs him like a tower, nose deep in his over-the-shoulder bag, seeking the treasure he must have smelled a mile away.
"I'll be fucking damned..."
It is mumbled softly, fondly almost, and he opens the flap of his bag only to retrieve a tiny plastic bag of sugar cubes. Why did he have them? Well, call him sentimental. Perhaps he likes to hold onto something from the past after all. The nice little things that he misses once in a while.
And so he places himself on the couch, makes himself at home with Teeth nibbling on a sugar cube. They haven't spoken much, or they have met on some occasions, him and Billy, but considering how long they have been alive, their meetings and conversations have been scarce. He doesn't blame him really, Silver did betray him quite brutally back then. He betrayed everyone, even himself. And he hasn't even apologised for it.
Perhaps this is a bad idea, but at the same time, if anyone can help him with this ' little ' problem, it is Billy.
Still, a small part of him is regretting this decision. That flight instinct that always haunts him. Makes him want to bolt like a scared cat.
Yet he stays. He must stay.
