protection is proof of love. nothing compares
#how i feel#|:|#ever since I could remember#the act of someone protecting me#be it with their own words and honor#or with their own body and pain#seemed like the most solid act of love out there#and could be the only expression i couldn’t figure out a way to doubt#.#I needed something undeniable#because hope is lost#and doubt is abundant#inside me.#thinking about it#twists some feeling inside#that’s hard to recreate#and I hope that I’ll recognize it fully#one day#as itll get stronger#when it’s summoned by someone else.
