Hades sneezes once. Twice. Thrice.
He looks at the other, a brow raised, and then he laughs lightly. "Bless you, my friend. I'm sorry for laughing. That was just... so very new." And funny, he keeps the latter to himself.

@ensnchekov ; "It is never a good sign when your voice starts doing that, Doctor." (hello hello! i offer one little genius shit for mccoy haha, here to either make his day worse or better depending)
"THAT'S JUST HOW MY VOICE SOUNDS." But the scowl upon his face and the fervor with which he slams the cabinet door shut tells another story entirely— there's the tray of hyposprays he was looking for. Christ, this is why he takes his lunches in his office, you leave sickbay for all of ten minutes and someone inevitably gets it in their head to try and re-organize the place. When he gets their hands on them—
"Just do me a favor and hold still, would you?" It's less of a request and more of a demand, no matter how he phrases it. "I've got at least a hundred more of these," a jerk of his chin towards the tray of vaccines, brow furrowed deeply, "to distribute, I don't have time for any additional nonsense today."
And this is why he hates shore leave. ( He doesn't, really, but if the crew could just once manage to collectively avoid picking up something obnoxiously easily-transmittable while planetside that would be great, thanks. They're a flying petri dish up here, when will people get it through their skulls? )
✉ @shocksugars said: "Hey, Midoriya..." All familiarity and friendly tone no longer present. "You don't really think people like my mom are bad right? She's a pro hero and I don't want to think you actually hate her or think she's bad or want to hurt her... you aren't really like that right?"
Ah, what an awkward question... There was a reason he avoided his classmates whenever he could - he could sense the lack of friendliness from Kaminari immediately, and he's just left wishing he'd stayed in his room. Of course he'd catch him off guard with a tense conversation like this one of the few times he left today...
Not that he can blame the other for his cold attitude towards him. After all, even if he'd been "saved", "reformed", whatever label they wanted to put on him... He was still a former villain. He couldn't expect his classmates to feel the same about him after his unwilling return - part of the reason he was so insistent on just keeping to himself. He didn't belong with the others. He should just be left alone...
And yet here he is, having to answer to Kaminari out of the blue.
"Um... Well, I've never met your mom, so... I can't really speak to whether she's a good person or not. If you say she is, then I'll believe you. It's not my place to decide that." He shrugs a little, unsure of how to answer a question like that about someone he didn't know outside of his research on pro heroes. "I don't want to hurt anyone, so I don't see why it'd be any different in her case..."
"If you're asking what I think of pro heroes in general... I guess I don't know anymore." He keeps it vague, casting his gaze aside as he remembers the counseling sessions he'd been going to - he could hardly describe how he felt after hours of talking to a professional, so how could he sum it up right here for a classmate? His thoughts have felt so mixed up since he came back... He's not sure which side is right anymore, honestly - but he's not about to admit that to him.
"I've had a lot of good experiences with heroes, but I've had a lot of bad experiences too. That's all I can really say about that. Whether or not they're a good person... I don't think that's determined by something as simple as hero or villain status."
"If its not too personal to ask... what kind of photos do you have on your tomestone?"
-A curious cat
He tilts his head slightly in thought before reaching into his pants pocket to pull out his tomestone. "Well," Hythlodaeus begins, a smile gracing his lips. "I do have many pictures of the creatures I've come across in this land, many of Hades, a lot of food pics...oh, and a couple of sleeping pictures of both Hades and of you, dear Exarch."
"Don't laugh about it, please…" (Whis!)
Dreams.
"Well, sorry, but... You've got to admit, it sounds pretty strange, comin' from you."
"I thought angels couldn't sleep. That's what Vados always told me, at least. And now you're having dreams...?"
