@echopulse wanted a oneliner!
“All healing comes with a price. What is it you’re willing to pay for what you ask?”
@jabbers-wild-world asked: It was absentminded, distracted.. He’d spent too many late nights the past week, or perhaps longer by now, he didn’t know anymore. But somehow, he had drawn closer and closer to Azuna, and without thinking, his hands drew across hers, his chest against her back, and Hans gently guided her away from her current task. “If we might talk one moment, fraulein?”
With the void that had been growing between her and Hans as of late, Azuna felt nothing short of expectancy. People such as them had these moments when their work consumed them, and although she did not blame the doctor, she felt somewhat remised by him, and had instead taken up more focus on her own tasks. Growth of her herbal garden, the packing of small bags of mixtures and marking them with their purpose, and focusing on replenishing her own energies.
However, when his chest pressed against her, her breath caught from the sudden warmth. His fingers against her hands made her tense briefly before relaxing, allowing Hans to guide her. “Of course.” She murmured, but her lips were set in the stoic expression, the touch allowing her to peer into his body, seeking out any ailments he might have come for.
After all, pain was a decent motivator for breaching silence.
However, she took a few steps, the honey optics sweeping up towards him to take in his expression, turning slightly as her curtain of dark hair obscured half of her features. “What is it that is on your mind? Do you need a healing session or is it some other matter?”
@caeruleis asked: The sweet smell of pumpkin and cinnamon filtered into the air from the basket hung loosely from her arm. A smile on her normally stern features as she makes her way up temple steps. It wasn't unusual for her to spoil the children who resided in town. "I've baked some pumpkin cookies to give to the children. I want them to enjoy the Halloween season this year. Would you like to hand them out with me?" Tone is polite as the holy knight addresses the Priestess. {Jeanne for Azuna!}
As acutely as the priestess could pick up the scent of blood, her senses dampened when it came to other smells. Even so, as she swept the top steps of the temple’s entrance, the wafting aromas of fall and sweets prickled at her nose as the holy knight came into view. Her motions halted as she awaited the reason for the visit, and such a request nearly seemed to stun Azuna for a brief moment. Honeyed eyes flickered back and forth between the basket and the woman, lips pulled into an otherwise expressionless façade.
“The village around here had truly grown to have so many children?” She finally let out a breath, turning her back towards the other woman briefly, only to prop the broom against the temple’s exterior and dusting her hands against her hakama. “Your basket seems to nearly overflow with treats, it’s a wonder there are so many in this place.”
Turning back around, Azuna offered the holy knight a tugged smile, the expression nearly touching her eyes. To see children laughing, having fun on a night of festivity and wonder, the priestess could not help but both feel pangs of pain gripping at her heart, as well as elation that others might be filled with joy over such treats. It wouldn’t hurt to see the young growing and smiling.
Such a thing could help her iced heart thaw, even the slightest.
“I have a simple price to do so.” She spoke out, once more taking a look to the basket. “I require a fee for my healing, and my price is to sample your goods.” Her hands lifted in tandem with her shoulders, as if the idea was akin to asking for something extravagant. “After all, I should be a decent taste tester, and I’m sure that one cookie would be sufficient to ensure the batch is delicious enough for the children.”

@dimensionaljumper asked: Azuna, what kinds of hobbies do you have?
“Hobbies are for those whom have the time and demeanor to enjoy aspects of life that are not concentrated on survival.” Her tenor run with an unamused warble, it was only after a moment that she allowed the minute upturn of her lips to shine through. “But I suppose I must admit, even I have some things that keep my time when I am not occupied with slumber or healing.”
Slanting her head side to side a little, Azuna let out a breath. “I like gardening. I grow my own herbs for healing salves so that I need not use my power without true provocation. I was also once adept at sewing, as I typically made little outfits for...” She trailed, her demeanor changing once more before she glanced away.
“What brings me joy in the intermediate time is not important. I’m sure you have other business that brings you to my doorstep.”
@adventurer-grahatia wanted a starter with Azuna!
The Crystal Tower’s glow was enough to be seen far and wide, bringing in those lost souls beneath its ethereal halo. One such member had been given a meager means of stay, something she had chosen from those under the gilded Exarch’s offerings to their new citizen of the Crystarium, nearly akin to a stable of sorts, the healer had managed to make it into a livable station. A feat none were particularly impressed with, their focus on far more important aspects of their daily lives, particularly as she was not one to willingly leave the abode.
Only a few short weeks into her stay, the roots of her herbs had taken hold and were plucked and gathered into bundles and packaged neatly in cloth wrapping. A summons had been naught more than a small missive on her door to see the man who had welcomed her into the city. The jaunt to the entrance of that tower was no more than a brisk walk for her, but Azuna arrived at the door, the guard peering over her worn clothes with skepticism.
An issuance that the Exarch had been expecting her, and she was let in to the Ocular, the peculiar room intriguing to the curiosity of the woman. Yet such things were shoved deep within her as the robed figure stood aloft before a glimmering mirror. “Ahem.” The woman cleared her throat, sandy hued optics narrowing a bit on the man’s back. “Exarch? You wished to see me? I do wonder if I have done something to…” Azuna’s tone wavered some before she looked down at the package in her hands.
“I brought a gift as well; for your kindness you have shown.” As was something customary of all citizen of the Crystarium, worshiping the man who gave them hope. Yet for her? Azuna was still wary of the man who hid his face.
Send ‘I can’I wait anymore…’ to grab my muse and kiss them OR send ‘What do you–?’ for my muse to kiss yours, instead. || Still accepting!
@aprisatm asked: ‘What do you–?' - Ardbert @ Azuna
The very first time she had attempted some form of physical touch with him, her fingers passed right through his arm. A puzzling sensation, leaving the Healer who typically relied on touch and such manifestations of her behaviors to offer her affections found herself wholly displaced and having display them verbally.
Even though on some moonlit nights—a refreshing atmosphere that he had helped bring back to the Crystarium in small part—she had attempted to ghost her lips over his ephemeral ones, finding naught but at least some solace in that Ardbert knew that Azuna still would wish for him near her, even if he was never more than a shard. No grip upon his hand, only his company was enough to make the woman who thought for certain her heart had become silent forever, beat only for him.
As time passed, his body restored—in entire thanks to the Warrior of Darkness—spending time with him had been just as distanced, the few brushes of hands here and there as they began to explore more of the world he had been painfully absent from. Sandy optics were intent upon him even as he talked, their small little spot above the Amaro Launce secluded for a small time for them to spend together.
The small quirk of his lip when he smiled, the gentle way his hair shifted in the breeze, and how she could feel his heart thrumming a little faster when he seemed so excited about it, Azuna wanted to take it all in.
She wanted him to know how much she needed him in her life.
His words, those lovely little syllables she adored to listen to, were cut short as her hands pressed against his stubble coated cheeks, bringing herself across the gap between them and allowing pale lips to collide against his own. Lids shut in tandem with the motion, gentle movements against them encouraged for him to return the favor, thumb tenderly rubbing as breath barely escaped, and a small suction popped as she pulled away. The woman, more than thirty summers, nearly looked akin to a girl fresh in youth with the way her cheeks blossomed in color, the demure expression as lashes exposed the dark hue of her eyes.
“Ardbert, you…I…” Words had always come easy to her around him, but now her tongue felt tied before she took a breath, offering him the simple smile. “I simply couldn’t help it; you looked so happy, I had no choice but to try and taste what joy you exuded.”
