you're just as broken as i am. — mikey 2 kazutora 👀!
Was that the case? Was he really just as broken as Mikey was? From the beginning, there was little if anything that him and Mikey shared in common, but both were broken in different ways if Kazutora stopped to think about it. Part of Mikey's reasoning was because of him though, that much he had to admit. The day still haunted him, but there was nothing he could do to fix it now.
"You say that as if you have a right," Golden eyes looked up at his long-term friend, the same one who had turned from being the one to have everyone's back to whoever he was now- An empty, emotionless shell of his former self. "But even if we have our similarities in that way, you have no right to make any comment on it. The Mikey I knew back then had a right. He had everyone's back, he carried our burdens, he fought for us tooth and nail no matter what the situation was."
"You? Don't make me laugh. I've killed people, we all know that, but at least I didn't go around pretending I was the same person for it! I haven't gone around killing my childhood friends and attempt they don't exist! They had your back, they fought for you, they cared about you, and you turned around and pushed them out and then, then you had the nerve to kill them! What kind of friend does that?! What kind of person does that?! They cared about you, and you took them out without a second thought!"
Did Kazutora know that for sure? Absolutely not, but as much as his blood was still boiling, he didn't care. Picturing the look on everyone's expressions, imagining how it must have felt for them to look at Mikey in the face before meeting their end.. That was something that still shook Kazutora to his core. "I can't speak for them, but I know I can't forgive you for this. For any of them. And if you want to kill me like you did with them, then fine. I won't be making any promises to anyone, but I hope their faces haunt you for the rest of your days, Manjiro Sano."
