at ASHER’S PLACE, DOWNTOWN with @asherbendavid
Sam had a way about picking up strays and keeping them forever. Alright, so he’d never done such a thing with an animal. For some reason, this only seemed to work with humans. Nearly every close friend he’d had in his life had somehow just fallen into his lap. Those meaningful relationships that helped to mold him into a decent person? Pure chance. Coincidence. It was the same way he’d met both Asher and Benji. At different times, sure. But Eureka seemed to be the epicenter of small town, U.S.A. In what felt like record time, Sam was doing stuff like this… Showing up to Asher’s in the middle of the day with garbage food and so much coffee. It was a gesture. Kind of. One that, if you squinted, might have seemed like an apology of sorts. From Samuel, naturally, for getting his friend way too trashed the night before. “Rise and shine, beautiful.” Sam pounded on the door rather unceremoniously, leaning against it’s frame while he waited for Asher to answer. “I brought sustenance. And caffeine. It’s not your fault you’re old.”
