@multiverseofmuses‘ julie sent: "now, where else would i be?"
Luke stared at Julie, smile growing the longer he took in her beauty. Where else would she be? He didn't really care about an answer to that question because it didn't matter. Not when she was here, perfectly haloed by the setting sun at the garage's entrance, light filtering through her tight curls.
His feet carried him toward her, his eyes searching hers the closer he got. His heart felt like a kick drum in some punk song, thundering and constant. But he didn't care if she heard it. All he wanted to know was if her heart beat as crazy as his when they were near. He dared to reach forward and brush his knuckles along her cheek. The soft skin invited him since he first held her face after the Orpheum.
He still couldn't find a good reason to answer her question because he didn't care about the answer. Not when all he could think about was kissing her -- a thought he had more often than he wanted to admit. Which left him with one question for her.
"Julie," He whispered, head bending closer to hers, thumb stroking her cheek. "Can I kiss you?"
