he had missed all of the signs until it was too late ( or, perhaps, like his best friend had suggested, he had chosen to ignore them ). teaching had helped him realize that he wanted children of his own — and in his excitement and determination, it was possible he had rushed into things. now, just days after their daughter had turned 9 months, parker was beginning to realize that zoe was the only thing keeping them together. and that realization had caused yet another fight. she had never left like this before, though — with a bag and passing huff of i’ll be at my sister’s and a lingering worry that this might actually be it. parker’s thoughts and pacing were interrupted ( thankfully ) by the sound of her voice. “oh, you know, just —” he quickly gestured around at everything, including himself, “everything and anything.”
she didn’t know how to fix the messed up situation between parker and his partner. she was just there to take care of their daughter, nothing more or less. but as time went on, she somehow became the person parker talked to. maybe it was because she was direct and also she did grow up in a family where her parents fought a lot — which ultimately ended in divorce. “ how bad is it this time?” she questioned. though she could already assume how bad it was. the argument seemed intense. “ saw her packing things up earlier when i was finished giving zoe a bath. she said it was nothing and she would be back but...” her words trailed off. “ how are you feeling really parker?” / @corrodedcoffinsrp
