When the sun was nice, the Suzaku is often time finding herself lingering under the sun where no one could see her, usually under a tree or sometimes, like now, on a branch of a large tree in the park where not many people were walking about. Busy city lives occupied most of the citizen thus allowed the vermilion bird to enjoy herself a little. By enjoying herself, she meant ‘letting her guard down’, which was literally proven when she had her large pair of flaming crimson wings spread from her back, legs dangling from the tall branch as she hummed softly a soothing tune she remembered from when she was a child, indulging herself in the sun.. until her peaceful moments were broken with a sound of someone approaching. A set of footsteps and the person was already close when she realized. The phoenix let out a surprised noise, immediately called her wings back and darted her eyes down to the person in alarm, seeing a stranger at the bottom of the tree.
D-Did that one see them!? Her wings? Damn her being too careless and letting her wings out like that.
--Meandering through the field trying to locate a site to settle on, Thomas repeatedly hopped from one place to another in attempt to feel the right earth to lay down on. The male would plant a step into the ground and inhale, press his lips, and either mentally mark the location or reject it as a candidate for his temporary haven when the time would come. It was a strange arrangement for someone witnessing the routine, however necessary for him to be able to feel all the systems of the environment at once for drawing.
A particular sliver of a blooming red in the distance abruptly caught his attention, his eyes darting to the tree where it held the anomaly. A bird? The wings seemed too..vast to be a bird available in such an area. Possibly, a kite. Either way, his legs were already moving before his thoughts could reconcile with each other. Nearing the source of interest, Thomas noticed a pair of human legs and an airy hum brazing his senses. His hazel eyes dilated as his throat tightened and limbs went numb at the scene, not planning on blinking for quite awhile.
"Y--...Yo...." It was a girl, it was a girl. Thomas gripped onto his satchel while a flurry of some kind of glow captivated him. The horror sprinting in her eyes was of great value, so he simply tried a smile, waving an arm, and sheepishly chuckled, "Darn wings, right? Hah. Hah!" Nice one, Thomas. Thanks, Thomas.
