im totally down for werewolf venom being fatal to vampires if you're down for vampire venom being fatal to werewolves.
damon does horrible things. he uses his Influence on humans ( mostly women ) to convince them to let him feed, he takes what he wants without asking ( don't be gross vampires can't even have sex ) a whim can cause him to murder those he finds troublesome or even boring. damon is a predator through and through he knows what he is and revels in it. but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of good. rain is rare in the desert but not impossible. his moral compass is skewed, erring in the direction of his wants and desires. he keeps those close to him to a minimum because when you care about others their opinion of you matters and more often than not those people have an idea of what is right and wrong. damon doesn't like to be held to anyone's standard but his own. he can do good, he has : but it's relative. he'd murder without a second thought to protect those he cared about, morality be damned.
a few things I do not want to budge on regarding his place in the show universe :
damon's age is very important to me. he is a 500+ year old vampire with experience running a mercenary company and traversing renaissance italy and the world over. his is experienced, he is refined, he is clever. you don't get to be the head of a company like that by making foolish decisions and rushing into battle. you need to be smart, need to develop plans and back up plans, you can't let your emotions lead you astray.
damon is poweful , he can sense other supernatural beings and their power levels, he can control weather elements ( to an extent ofc ) and has the ability to influence people and their minds even from other rooms. this isn't to make him op or unbeatable, im more than happy to come up with a work around for these things: vervain can keep humans minds clear of influence, on top of that those with a strong will are harder to manipulate, very strong / old beings have the ability to hide their power levels from leaking out into the world etc
these are things I find very important for damon and his characterisation and will not budge on <3 alternate verses / realities are always an option ofc, I do love stripping this cocky bastard of his power :3
