Alphonse isn't a drinker, at least not in the consumption of alcohol anyways. He has nothing against it, and although is fortitude alone could keep him from becoming inebriated for an astounding amount of time, he prefers to avoid in the indulgence. This comes from the deep rooted aspect woven through out his entire personality and being that he must always have control; he cannot afford to let any part of himself slip up, even for an instant. To consume alcohol would be inviting in the possibility to losing the control he's built up and mastered over the course of his life.

Al made a special tonic for himself to help keep his sleep walking under control, when he was younger and it was a bigger problem. However, it puts him into such a heavy sleep that when he wakes he tends to feel a bit sluggish and lethargic, and hates the feeling since his mind must be sharp and completely focused at all times, so he doesn't like to take it. Thankfully he hasn't had a bad sleep walking episode in some time so he hasn't needed to take it, but it can be brought on by bouts of stress or over exertion ( the latter of which he is quite prone to ).

Alphonse is a very skilled herbalist, in most branches of the craft from poisons to poultices, and salves to simple remedies. Given his average skill in areas of magic that don't revolve around his specialty he directed his attention to herbalism during his studies and took to it quite easily. He's also quite skilled with making tea.

The Cancer man will not be direct with you. He will approach you cautiously and slowly. He will be very romantic and flirty and attempt to court you and win your heart with lavish gifts and attention. The reason he will never be direct with you is that he has a strong underlying fear of rejection. Of you are interested in a Cancer man, you will probably have to make the first move and ask him on a date. He falls in love easily and will make you his whole world. Once you "belong to him", he will hold on to you and can become quite jealous and possessive. This is because he is worried he will lose you to another partner and that would crush his spirit.

Alphonse may and often does come off as egotistical and prideful, but in truth these are emotions that are completely lost on him. He says he's the strongest force mage out of the Circle of Cumberland yet? He's not trying to be above anyone or boast his power, he's merely stating something that was repeated to him over and over again in his years, believing it to be fact. His words and untactful use of these facts can often be hurtful, though it is hardly ever his intention. ( IE: Someone of nobility or anyone with access to a higher education claiming to know of a particular thing, Al would argue he knew more of the particular thing because mages are extensively educated; again, not boasting, it is merely fact that mages are of the most well learned people in Thedas )

Alphonse is very skilled with speed sketching and drawing in general; a skill developed after years and years of writing in diaries and journals and having to come up with quick illustrations of the things he had seen and experienced.

Al really loves jewelry. He likes to have rings and necklaces to wear, so his hands are almost always decorated with rings. One can usually hear him approaching if they listen because a light jingle accompanies his gate.
