Os três tinham se enfiado no dormitório para que conseguissem fumar em paz sem precisar compartilhar os cigarros de Aliquente com outros estudantes. Pela primeira vez em dias, sentia-se tranquilo mesmo que estivesse na presença de duas mentes que vez ou outra faziam barulho ali para si; como todos estavam chapados, os pensamentos dos bruxos ficavam mais desordenados, mais calmos e baixos, não incomodava que estivessem então em um quarto fechado os três. "Por que está demorando tanto?" reclamou com @ambitionzabini​ . "Você já deveria ter passado isso pra o Theo, a gente quer também."

oh also ive decided theo gets (buys? rents?? idk) a horse when he gets to the town near asa. just bc like. its a long walk, and hes in a bad mood. so horsey. and then he just fuckin falls in love with her and keeps her after everything. braid her mane n feeds her apples

shes not a particular real life breed but shes prob like a yakut horse. chunky n fluffy for cold weather

when asa and theo first meet, neither are doing well.

theo is pissed because his abusive ex moved back to town and had been harassing him, and theo's the one in trouble? just for beating the shit out of him and throwing him off the dock? theo had been getting back into bad habits, drinking and fighting especially, made angry and anxious by his ex screwing with him. he has a fairly recent black eye when he gets to the manor.

and asa... asa's been in the manor for a little over two years at this point. he'd been doing okay for a while, but like. depression. he blames himself for his curse (doesn't know what actually happened yet), he's miserable and furious and intensely lonely no matter what the brownies do.

asa's curse changes somewhat with his emotions, especially with how he thinks of himself. this was a particularly cruel addition- the one responsible knew asa had self-image issues even before, and knew that their actions would crush him. he looks more monstrous the more he hates himself, and looks softer the happier he is.

this is basically the sketch theo was given when he was sent after asa, or ‘the manor beast’. while not wholly inaccurate, it paints asa as more animal-like than he really was. as they spend more time together, his form actually changes- his fangs shrink away first, then his back-arms begin sprouting feathers.
