A New Resolution || Balder and Forté
There wasn't anything that Balder didn't want to learn about. From science to the arts and everything in between; it all fascinated him. His curiosity drove him to find an old storage room that may or may have not been in a privately owned building.
There didn't seem to be any organization beyond the boxes had been stacked and stored over time. Boxes filled with older technology and fading notes made up the foundation of the stacked piles. It didn't take a long time for Balder to realize that most of the technology were parts of old prototypes of a certain unspecified function. It took much longer for Balder to rebuild one of the prototypes.
He turned on the computer, blueprints and notes scattered over the floor. "There we go!" he announced triumphantly to himself. He read the lines as they popped up on the screen, safely working his way along until a question appeared
He looked behind him at the laser before clicking 'yes' with a smile. "Let's see what you can do." he said. The laser turned on and transferred Balder to the grid.
In the grid, a light from the sky appeared above striking the ground like lightning. The white cylinder of light was gone as quickly as it had come, leaving behind Balder. Almost falling , put his dark hands out to his side for balance. He looked around at the programs, all in their body suits accented with circuitry lines. His button up shirt, dark jacket, and pants suddenly felt out of place.
Some of the programs started to back away and there was a murmur over the whole crowd. "Ah... hello?" he said looking around the crowd, completely confused.
