HC 003. 

Winter has, at times, considered the option of sterilization. It was never forced or required of her, but it was highly recommended and urged. After all - people do not escape the business of being trained killers. If one should choose to parent a child, that would produce only one thing: a weakness. A liability. Something to be used against you should your actions upset the wrong set of individuals. She considers it often, laying awake at night with full understanding that she could never, with any certainty, know a child would be safe in her care. 

That doesn’t make her long for a family any less.

does winter currently have a marker held by anyone or does she hold the marker for anyone?

Winter loathes the concept of someone holding her very soul hostage in those tiny little slabs of metal. To be bound, compelled without will, to owe someone out of your control. She’s only had one with her own blood held once, and when called upon to honor it, she arrived only to find the bearer long dead. The woman was at risk, should’ve called sooner: maybe she would’ve survived. But Winter considered it freedom, cut bindings unleashing her back into the world without the shadow of unpaid debts looming over her.She does, however, hold one of her own, empowered by the blood of an estranged sibling. She intends to call on it when she needs it, but thus far, she’s always preferred getting things done by herself.  ( and maybe, over time, she can forget the hesitance she harbors in involving him in the trouble that follows her. )

HC 004. 

Winter very, very rarely uses her given name in social situations, unless required of her. Many don’t even know her proper name, and to them, she simply exists as Winter - a snowstorm in a woman’s body that seeks to freeze up everything in her path. 

The nickname itself has contested origins :  some believe it’s superficial, others belief it stems from a long - term job she took in her early years, wherein she utilized the weather as her weapon. The fourth body wasn’t found until spring, as the snows melted, and it was discovered that she’d left a man buried to succumb to hypothermia after breaking his limbs. Those who know her true name believe it to be symbolic, her descent into the dark breaking Demeter’s heart and plunging the lands into cold.

HC 002. 

Although seemingly disadvantageous in combat, Winter actually prefers to fight in high heels. Her extensive training was done primarily while wearing them, so to be prepared and equally as efficient even in formal attire. Sprains from a snapped heel are the least of her worries - she only purchases sturdy quality and has enough grace to avoid injury from a potential fall due to her dancing. They can range from thicker heels to stilettos, but she typically leans towards the latter: a stiletto can provide a gruesome end with the right kick, and she certainly can kick high.

HC 001. 

Winter favors a more subtle approach to her job. While trained with the same ferocity and skill as many others, she has always understood that her smaller stature has left her at a disadvantage, no matter how agile she may be. Thus, most of her targets are hit with stealth, and others drink their death with a smile. She has extensive training in creating and handling poisons that are nearly undetectable, and frequently utilizes them in her work while feigning camaraderie.

is there anything she learned when she was younger that’s had an everlasting impression? maybe a lesson turned sour with her up-bringing that changed her point of view on something or influenced her to become who she is today?

What hasn’t changed her? She’s learned many things - in particular, people will do anything for the right sum of money. Trust, in this business, is lethal. 

Winter was naive enough to trust, once. Believed loyalty surpassed all, and that everyone carried the same integrity to keep it. Money wasn’t an issue then, buried in the back of her mind. But when you falter and someone wants you dead, it’s a simple snap of your fingers before those you valued turn for a bag of golden coins. She almost died because she was young and foolish enough to believe one friendship couldn’t be bought. A woman she trained with - who knew all her moves, how she thought, how she killed. The right advantage for the right amount of money and loyalty was a forgotten concept. 

She doesn’t trust much anymore. Doesn’t share her motives, her tactics, her techniques. Training alone is harder, but it prevents anyone from being able to predict your every move. When she makes friends, it’s always with a space between them.

She never had much of a choice. It wasn’t that she wanted to be in “this line of work”, it was that it was in her blood. By the time she could speak, she could manipulate. By the time she could walk, she could fight. And by the time she had any semblance of independence, she was sent away to become a weapon. Maybe a young girl wanted to be like her family. Now it’s just a matter of survival.

If she had it her way, she’d simply be a dancer. Releasing the world from view to lose herself in motion and music. No longer a hobby, not only a career, but a life.

Does your muse deal with body image issues? Are they self conscious, are they full of themselves? Humble? Do they use clothing to hide their body or show it off?

She deals with them well. Definitely nothing along the lines of self conscious, although she is human and has her moments of weakness. To an insecure woman or entitled man, Winter could be described as “full of herself”. 

But the reality is that she is simply secure. She knows her worth in beauty, skills, and life. She doesn’t wait for someone to tell her she’s beautiful to believe it, she doesn’t reject everything with false modesty to undermine herself. Winter knows she is an attractive young woman with a great many talents, and she won’t pretend otherwise. Confidence, for her, is something all women should learn to embrace.

As for clothing, she wears whatever suits her and compliments her figure. It helps her with her specific... tactics.
