dear anons
to all of you who have decided to spread hate; i despise you. with every ounce of emotion in my body. you have no right to insult people and nor do you have the right to hide behind a mask. you wouldn’t say that in real life, so why say it online? because you think a computer makes you clever? makes you better than other people? well, face the facts: it doesn't.
my word of advice: stay away from that ‘ask an anonymous question’ button. hide that mask in the closet and go back to where you came. causing misery for others simply makes the world worse, no matter whether it makes you feel better or not. the people you insult are just as human as you are, and even though people can have fabulous facades, trembling fingers every time you open your messages isn't a good thing.
i know how you feel, because i went through it. a few months ago, i had a huge argument with a friend. i deleted social media and i turned to hurting other people to soften my pain. i realised then that what was happening to me, what made me so upset, was the same thing i was doing to other people. so i stopped. i turned around and i walked away. no one can stop you from doing that.
no one can fight a one-sided battle
you need two to make a war
so stay safe, stay positive, and most importantly of all, stay here, alive, with your friends, because no matter what, you have someone to turn to, a friendly face or a strange one doesn't matter.
i’m here for you.
