Just another day on the job
@kal0ps1a
It was a little after the typical lunch hour when Jia could be found doing one of the jobs they'd occasionally need to do as the right hand of the Matrix, oversee employees inside the store owned by the huge corporation. The Cyber-Maison store had all the android or human could possibly want, from cheap computers and consoles to a repair area. It had skilled workers running the floor as well as stock and each register or desk, and it was Jia's job to look around in a sort of inspection type of thing. They didn't assume they could fire or hire anyone, but rather make note if anyone seemed to not give their all or slacked...if someone repeatedly screwed up numbers. Those would end up reported to Xingwei, their boss, who had the final say on what to do with each case.
Sometimes the brunette wondered if part of the reason he'd send them there was due to a slight intimidation factor, a higher up appearing at random could lead those who might slack to work harder and give off a good image. If it were scheduled they could prepare then get lazy so Jia prefered entering when least expected. Have them all on their toes to keep things running as smoothly as possible, as expected for the store as well as the Matrix though very few knew they owned it.
After giving a nod to a flustered stock worker they headed toward the repair section, stopping short upon seeing a very familiar face enter the store. Unlike most people they'd greet, Xie got the most formal of introductions each and every...or at least until he'd straight up told them to just call him boss or Cai, the latter making them cringe slightly but it's what he wants. He hadn't ever come off as a cruel man toward them so really it was just overcompensation on their part anyway, personal preference. "Hello boss, anything I could do for you? I was just about to check the repair area but I can do something else."
