Did Emel mean to pretty much fall into his side the second he was in reaching distance? No. But did that mean she wasn’t grateful for the immediate sense of relief she felt as she did so? Hell no. Lucian was a dangerous man, she knew that much, but she also knew that he was on her side, and whilst she knew he likely had better things to do that baby sit for the night, Emel couldn’t guarantee she wasn’t going to be close by his side throughout the night. It wasn’t like she had the means to defend herself, and if she was going to be able to treat people, she was going to need someone watching her six, she could only function as a medic if she wasn’t fighting herself. “Hi.” She mused a she looked up at him, a hand wrapped around his arm where she was tucked close to his side. “Please tell me, that the look of worry on your face is just because you’re thinking about who you’re going to take to bed, and not because this is all going to go really fucking wrong.”
