Unfortunately, Kedamono is too sick to sit up, and Popee is growing bored and restless. He sits at the wolf's bedside, watching his chest rise and fall, listening to him wheeze. Maybe it's just a one day sickness, and he'll be better in the morning. Popee distracts himself, practicing knife throwing, glancing over to rub it in the wolf's face when it hits its target perfectly, but... the wolf still hasn't woken up.
He doesn't wake up the next day, either. In fact, he looks even worse. His fur is wet with sweat, and he pants in his sleep, throwing off the blanket one moment and then desperately searching for it the next. Papi simply looks at the wolf and frowns, shaking his head as he wipes a tear from his eye. He gets all of Papi's attention, as the sun-clad man performs a strange dance to summon Alien, now donning a doctor's outfit for some reason. They hover over the wolf all morning.
Popee is getting irritated. Kedamono thinks that he can be sick better than Popee and get attention better than Popee. His attempts at showing off all fail. When Alien and Papi go off to corroborate, Popee sneaks over with ill intent.
He overturned the chair, leaving Kedanono sprawled on the sand. He curses the wolf for how well he can act and tells him he can act even better. The wolf doesn't wake up still and simply shivers in the cold night air as Popee takes his place on the chair with the blanket. Popee coughs several times and tucks the blanket under his chin. He has to get ready for this grand performance.
