coffeeshops are definitely yoongi’s favourite place to spend his time at, other than the safety of his bedroom, really. yoongi may be as anti-social as a person can possibly be, but even he sometimes has the need to just get out of the house and get some fresh air amongst normal people, as if he, too, could pretend he’s normal for two or three hours while breathing the same air as them.
cosy, small coffeeshops are the cherry on top of the cake for him, where he can just choose a table by the corner and work on his laptop over a cup of coffee and cream and maybe a piece of strawberry cake. the one he’s currently sitting at is perhaps amongst the top three he visits most thanks to its quiet environment and the soft, nice music they always have playing in the background. the scent of coffee and freshly baked goods are also yoongi’s favourite and the general environment leaves the young boy at ease, relaxed and able to focus on his studies for once.
he’s just bringing his coffee to his lips, careful not to get the cream smeared across his top lip when a figure sits in front of him - another boy, taller, slender, and someone yoongi is very certain he’s never met before. he slowly places the cup back on the table, brow raising high on his forehead. “um,” he moves his now free hand to pull one of his earphones out, his other hand still resting on top of his laptop keyboard. “hello?”
