I think I said it before--I get that MIlah would be upset at first, because Rumple made a big and important decision without informing her, but at the same time, that wouldn’t have been practical, and I do think he picked the best out of a bunch of crappy options.
Honestly, she made it more about Rumple proving he wasn’t a coward, then trying to save her son.
Damn, I didn’t even really parse that while viewing, but you’re absolutely right. That is what it turned into near the end, isn’t it? ...just. Guh. Woman. Priorities.
::ahem:: Anyways, I think you’re right on the money with the reasons for killing Milah off, which makes it even worse, to be honest. Really? They couldn’t have written the awkward “I spent centuries trying to avenge you, but I also kind of moved on and I’m happy this way” reunion and have them part as amicable exes in a bittersweet moment that would have given certain other characters some (much-needed) depth? ...just saying. Wasted opportunity, right there.
