Once again it had been too long since he had found the time to sit down and hang out with his best friend. But school work piling up and a fourth year slowly getting more serious by the day, you couldn’t blame the guy. Smiling softly when he spotted her, he walked up to her and opened his arms. “Hello there, stranger” Clement greeted her. “How have you been?”

Wrapping one of his arms around her shoulders, he smiled as he pulled her closer. “Not so quick” he teased and chuckled. “I wanna hear how you are coping with all of the boot camp stress” he arched a single brow as he studied her, trying to see on her face the answer before she uttered it. “Also I have some cookies that my grandma sent if you want to chill with me for a few hours?”

He had not seen Raina much since they arrived in Berlin. Mainly because he wanted to focus on the internship and not make any kind of mistakes. Gallagher had drained him and the summer back home in Virginia had not been ideal. So all he wanted to do was distract himself with work. But when he saw her, he couldn’t avoid. No why would he? “Babe!” he called out as he ran up to where she was.

“Ah there you are” he said, sounding out of breath. Placing a hand on his chest, he leaned against the wall as he tried to calm down from running down the hall. “Were you at Roseville?” he asked, tilting his head and frowning a little. Because if she was, he wondered why he hadn’t seen her.

“Rain” he called out softly, desperately as he knocked on her door. He didn’t want the rest of the world to see him, he was the world’s biggest jerk and he surely felt like one. A monster, even. He had not been close to tears in what felt like years. But he deserved to feel this way, he had done a bad thing after all. And he should feel ashamed over it.
