It had been quite the week and all Everett wanted to do was take a hot shower, sit by the fire and drink a warm cup of coffee. Though he couldn't. The man was restless. He couldn't sit down. He needed to get up and do things, but do what? The Fire Liutenant had no idea. It had been a minute since he saw Julie, and the last time Everett saw the love of his life she had turned down his proposal and fled the town. More like fled the state. He didn't keep in touch with Julie and for good reason, she broke his heart. Running into her this morning was not on his to do list. Instead of coffee, Everett opened up a bottle of whiskey and poured some into a cup. Letting out a breath, the man felt the alcohol burn down his throat. The moment his little sister arrived, Everett rolled his eyes and bit down on his lips "I haven't been to the ranch at all this month and dad is probably going to kill me. I need to catch up on things there but I've been so busy." Running a hand through his hair, he took another sip of the alcohol and let it burn down his throat once more. He swallowed hard and sighed "Did you know that Julie is back in town?" Isabelle was much younger than he and his other siblings but the brunette was very mature for her age "Any drama going on in your life that I need to know about?"

Cooper was exhausted, the past week has been hell and all he needed was a day off. Which thankfully today, Cooper had Sunday off which was rare. The Detective never had Sundays off, it was usually during a week day if it wasn't an order from his Chief. He had only been in town for a year but Cooper had already found his favorite spot, in a coffee shop called The Ugly Mug. This is where Cooper would sit down early in the mornings and write. This is where Cooper would come early in the mornings to clear his head. Leaving New York was one of the best decisions he's made, it was starting to eat him alive like Southport did. Cooper was sitting at his spot in the corner watching the people come in and out of the shop, he was drinking his regular black coffee and writing like there was no tomorrow when Cooper finally looked up and saw her. Cassandra, still looking exactly the same as they did when they were kids. It's not like this was the first time seeing her around town, he just tried to avoid her at all costs but the man decided to not be an asshole this morning. As he looked up at her, Cooper smiled and wipe his hand over his mouth but then finally opened his mouth to speak "Well hey stranger. Long time no see Madden." Cooper wasn't one to strike up a conversation as he was more quiet but this felt different.

Usually Devi would have coffee for the day maybe two or three cups, depending on what kind of surgeries lied ahead. However the past few days she was craving a smoothie. It had been a while since she had one and the hospital cafeteria ones were terrible. So she decided to head to Main Squeeze, a place Devi normally visits during the hotter days but right now she was standing in line which was entirely way to long for her liking but decided to wait a few more minutes. Checking her phone for timing the brunette looked up and that's when she saw him. Her heart almost stopping, though it didn't since she felt it pounding out of her chest. Her palms sweating and she suddenly felt sick. God he was still so damn handsome, Devi hoped he wouldn't notice her starring at him. The Doctor wanted to make sure it was in fact him but once she saw those eyes of his she always got lost in, it was in fact Angelo. The love of her life, or at least that's what her teenage self though back then. Devika decided to put on her big girl pants and walk over to him. What was she nervous about? The women was a god damn surgeon for god sakes. Tapping him on his shoulder feeling herself embarrassed, Devika looked at him and bit down on her lips but then couldn't even catch her breath. "Angelo." Was all the young women could say to her ex "Angelo Estrada?" Devi just stood there looking at him in disbelief that it was really him. She needed to know for herself, to make sure she wasn't going crazy.

Cooper had a little bit of time before heading into work this morning so he decided to head to Breslin's house. The man had no idea how the hell he became so close to the Mayor but in all honesty, Cooper was happy about it. Los Angles was home he thought he found his people once living in New York City but he was wrong, Cooper found his people here in Los Angles. Once arriving to Breslins home the Detective had two cups of coffee in his hand along with a bag full of pastries, he found his way in and yelled "Breslin!! Your favorite person is here, I am here and I come bearing gifts. " Cooper said but then smiled once he saw her "I brought you coffee and some muffins. I don't know if you're a breakfast person because I know I'm not but these are for you." He held up the bag and opened them, placing the soft blueberry and raspberry muffins on the table. "Can't go wrong with something fruity."

All Cooper wanted was Genevieve. He was the only one that called her Genevieve, sometimes he'd call her Gigi but most of the time it was Genevieve. At least to him, and only him he would tell her. They have been seeing each other as more than friends but less than loves for quite some time now. Cooper wasn't exactly sure what the hell to call them at this point, but all Cooper knew was that Genevieve made him happy and that terrified him. Terrified him in a terrifying way but also in a good way, it had been a while since he felt this way about someone and Cooper knew he wasn't going to screw it up. As this past week was complete and total hell, the weekend was where he needed a break. The case was rough and though it was completed he didn't feel complete, not unless she was in his arms. Standing in the kitchen, Cooper formed a soft smile on his face and poured some more alcohol into their cups. Whiskey it was, at least for tonight. Usually he'd do beer but like he said before it was a rough week. "I think we would've been fine with beer, but you know mw when it's been a shitty week and rough case. I need something stronger. " Cooper said letting out a breath and then took a sip of his Whiskey "I missed you." He placed a soft kiss on her lips and pulled away for a moment "How was your week?"

It was late and they just finished a case after a tough week. He was exhausted and starving but all he wanted was greasy diner food so Sunset Grill it was. This was his go to spot in town, his favorite diner. In some odd sense it reminded him of home, it reminded him of the diner his parents owned. Sunset Grill was the perfect place around this time, it was quiet and no one was ever in there. This quaint little diner was the perfect spot for him to sit down and write in the journal that he always writes in before meeting Ambrosia there. Getting there a bit earlier than she had, he took out his pen and journal and began writing. He hasn't wrote in it all day like he normally does, as the waitress who was normally his came and placed his cup of coffee in front of him Cooper was in deep. He couldn't stop the pen from moving, the pen from going and his mind from going. It was a tough week and as Cooper was lost within his thoughts he almost didn't hear the bell ring, but then looked up and smiled once he saw the blonde standing there "Got here a bit earlier than you." Was all Cooper could say quietly and then took a deep breath "I ordered us coffee. Should be alcohol but they sadly don't sell that here."
