Content warnings: Nothing, ‘less you’re scared of a little bump and grind
Dimple had seen his fair share of crowds. Humans packed together tightly, whipping their torsos around, sweaty bodies grinding against each other- it was all so overwhelming. The underlying bass thrumming through their skin did not help in the slightest. Deep within his host’s chest welled a feeling of excitement.
“You really like dancing, huh?”
“I love it.”
His eyes caught the flash of neon as they stepped onto the floor. Rainbow light danced over the dark fabric of their suit jacket. For a moment, the evil spirit wished they weren’t inhabiting the psychic’s body so they could see their sun beam smile.
They dipped suddenly, legs folding underneath them as they slinked through the mass of people, weaving effortlessly between them as they twisted and twirled. When the space allowed for it, Dimple swooped them low before planting their hands on the ground and flipping through the air. Laughs poured from Mel’s throat.
“Look at you go, hot stuff.”
“It’s all you, babe.”
Track after track played and the two lost track of time until they nearly bashed skulls with someone.
“Woah! Slow down there, Speed Racer.”
“Reigen.”
“Hey.”
Before they could open their mouth to ask what the conman was doing there, his arm snaked around their back and pulled them close.
“You said you wanted to dance?”
Mel snorted and pulled away, swinging their hips and shuffling, hand still entwined with the blond’s. Static rumbled down their arm and they grinned as red spots blossomed on Reigen’s cheeks. They tugged and Mel fell into their chest, wheezing with laughter.
