“What advice would you give your ten-year old self?”
I love your fics and how knowledgeable you are for the Regency era so I wondered if you had any suggestions for names fitting the era or any aristocracy style surnames
Hi Nonny!
Oh thank you for your kind words. 🥹🫶
I think being British and growing up in the vicinity of posh people helps a lot. I know very little of the Regency era tbh 😂
For names, there are lots of options. You can always look up small town names in England and use one of those. Or look up who the hereditary peers of the UK are and borrow one of their names?
Anything ending with -ton, such as Feathering or indeed Bridger, works well. You can always make one up. Say Allerton or Dibblington. Anything that sounds vaguely posh.
Sorry not sure how helpful this is. Cos it’s sort of what I grew up around, it’s difficult to advise, it’s an instinct thing as to whether or not it sounds fitting. If you want, lob some suggestions at me and I can tell you which sound the most plausible?
But whatever you choose, don’t worry about it too much, just have fun I say 😁🧡🧡
geno puts in the work (whilst we enjoy the view)
Posting this very old, very sweet fan art Baby Rayless did for the Narnia books. Front and center we have Aslan with his forepaws nicely folded, and then in the back from left to right we have Fledge, Caspian and Destrier, and Jewel the Unicorn (of course Baby Rayless included as many horses as possible), the Dawn Treader and the Splendor Hyaline (note the very detailed lion head designs on both of their sails) separated by the castle of Cair Paravel, the green serpent (looking a little squashed), and the Stone Table.
Good job, Baby Rayless, you drew something I can still interpret over twenty years later.
OK, back to the main quest for a bit. Next up is "Something Wrong," which means we're off to Hossberg again to hang with Antoine and Evka!
Fantastic. Let's go hit some horrible monsters.
I'm beginning to suspect my boyfriends parents are expecting me to become an in-law...
Their love language is healing each other and nature 💚
And a bit of raw bear *ex ofc, just to make the others feel uncomfortable.
