I wouldn't compare tbh. Max was already an established superstar with huge fanbase, same for Lewis in 2017-2020. And both had to fight hard for their maiden titles. With Kimi I think even glory hunters will get bored soon enough. The guy is a definition of an industry plant.

also interesting how George’s fanbase has been more and more outspoken and his popularity has started to go up instead of going down even more, even tho journalists are shit talking him more than ever.

Another thing to not underestimate is that Kimi is 10 years younger than George, so I feel like all the teenagers would be more likely to get into this sport because of him and then the results would be Avery active fanbase on his social media posts too. But it does not seem like this to me.

Not to get to the instagram likes championship but it's interesting how 12 gets more followers but his engagement rate went down since his first wins. It's like it was exciting to see a new face winning but then it's just got boring. He has perfect car and strategy, everyone else struggles and even if he's not performing at his best somehow he gets all the luck in the world. Rinse and repeat.

I was a bit hopeful after Canada that at least Marcus started to get this shit together and then Monaco happened. Didn't notice the wrong strat mode again in Q3, then during the race communication was an absolute disasterclass. And he didn't even apologize to George at the end of the race. Yes, people make mistakes but we're not in kindergarden. If I screwed up at my job that often, I'd be fired already. But looks like everyone gets babysitted in this fuckass team but George.

I wish I was able to take that many blunders as they seemed allowed to take😭😭
