What is the whole deal with Lewis and George in 2023-2024? Because I keep reading about LH fans, who go like “oh you do not know what we went through”. What the hell happened?

I suggest you to read some of mine lhtea tags and cross linked to some 2023/2024 races tags… i think peak was emailgate.

Long story short: 2023 season for george was ass because mercedes decided after two races to turn the car around and shift it to accomodate lewis and give him a win (that never happened that season).

2024 started with a bang when lewis announced he would leave for ferrari. That season was miles better for george and that enraged cultLHers so much so thst they ended up sending an email to the whole paddock press convo with allegations that george was fucking toto💀 and mercedes (and Bono 💀) was trying to murder lewis by saboataging his car💀

Toto was so embarrassed he contacted the police but ofc nothing happened after that.

Hence why cultLHers are still rentfree about george to this day😭

What’s more, Mercedes’ chairman Ola Kallenius fears Verstappen could overshadow the team if he joins. If they win, it will be down to him, and if they don’t, it will be in spite of him.

Wolff agrees and is also keen to protect his ‘protege’ Antonelli. The team is well aware of Verstappen’s talent, especially after he ended their title streak in 2021, but they fear it comes with a cost.

It’s worth noting that he hasn’t yet gone head-to-head for the title with one of his colleagues.
